The page of Yamato 2202 on MAL is showing that the series will have 22 episodes, however, as previously disclosed by Xebec since when the anime was revealed, the series will have 26 episodes composed of 7 chapters, with the first one with 2 episodes, and the other 6 of 4 episodes each, making a total of 26 episodes.

Could you please show a source for this? You may very well be correct but from the beginning they have constantly said that it will be 22 episodes.

Although, who doesn't want some more Yamato!
