| depends on the combination of genres you're looking romantic slice-of life like Marmalade Boy, Hana Yori Dango or Karekano a more comedic-childish one: Chibi Maruko-chan a more peaceful cheerful take: well you got older stuff (older than 90s) but still very nice today like Candy Candy, Akage no Anne, Heidi or even Toriyama's Dr. Slump: Arale-chan but I don't think you'll find many of the 4-koma slice of life or school-daily life in the 90s. Azumanga Daioh (2004), Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Lucky Star were the biggest promoters on the genre a very good video that helps us understand why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAxiCcMFTVY |

| It did exist in manga,but I'm not sure if there was any slice of life anime,maybe touch?? |

Those should qualify primarily because they had all these filler eps to show how they lived their lives. I still love all these novel adaptations because they build up relationships between the cast. As for a rec, Romeo's Blue Skies. |
