Romance School Anime with MC that surprises everyone with power

Looking for an action/magic romance anime. Specifically one that happens in school with MC being a transfer student or a new student. I love those anime where everyone thinks the MC isn't capable of doing anything but once he shows his skills I just love seeing their reactions. I'd like it if it also had romance.

Anime like this that I have seen would be:
Irregular at Magic High School
Hagure Yuusha No Estetica
World Break
Blade Dance
Isekai Seikishi
Chrome Shelled Regios
Rakudai Kishi No Cavalry
Gakushen Toshi No Asterisk
Tokyo Ravens
Trinity Seven

I'd like it if it was along the lines of Irregular At Magic High School, Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, Chrome Shelled Regios and Rakudai.

Already seen rakudai and tokyo ravens. I won't mind something similar to those as well

While not strictly as you describe, Great Teacher Onizuka contains all the elements you mention (except for magic). It pretty much invented the 'other characters surprised by strength/power/capability of the protagonist'. There's romance, comedy, drama, action, etc. And even though the protagonist is a teacher he's still a transfer teacher, and the show is essentially transfer student in different clothes.

Full Metal Panic's a good one.

Also strongly second Shokugeki no Soma

Thanks for the recommendations! Actually watching GTO right now. I've seen Full Metal Panic it was good as well. Might check out Shokugeki no Soma after Attack On Titan

Most of the ones I am listening involve a harem/romance with the MC having a special power that is irregular or legendary.

- Highschool DxD
- Twin Star Exorcists (kinda ;~;)
- My Hero Academia
- Date A Live (sorta but its a good romance/harem)
- Maken-Ki
- Absolute Duo

Nope. Becomes really strong. At the beginning he seems to have no power, but he is also "special" so you will enjoy it. It has magic/school and romance and an op male mc

Oh does he become strong early in season I don't like it when mc become a op like 2eps before season finally... and suggestion I can give is Tokyo ghoul the mc just looks bad ass end of s1 and throughout s2 emotional ending as well

K PROJECT I don't get it ... to long to get in to it and if anyone is interested in same sort of genres and update their anime list lemme know I'll peek on it

Hyouka - not a whole lot of romance, its more mystery orientated than anything else

Kokoro Connect - there isn't a character with "Super powers" but super natural stuff does happen

The monogatari series has a load of characters with "Supernatural powers" theres also romance so I think you'd like this series

Orange - the MC gets a letter from her future self (10 years in the future) I don't know if that counts as a power but I wanted to include it anyway

Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan - its an amazing comedy, but there really isn't any romance, the MC has crazy powerful phychic powers

Uhm around episode 8/9 (from 24 eps) he shows big powers, but there are already signs earlier. Its more that everytime more power awakens throughout the series. Its not that he has powers only at the end, but it builds up in the season

im a fan of that stuff too. a magic school. try kuusen madoshi. the anime is not mainstream and good too. but the mc is being an instructor instead the one whos fighting. the fighting itself looks like mahouka koukou tournament. btw sry im late lol
