| I would like an anime or manga with a male lead that acts weak on purpose at first but then reveals his true potential later. However, I would also prefer if the character isn't just all muscles and has is at least fairly intelligent at least. Some characters that fit this description include Do NOT recommend a series with a main that is actually weak at the start but then becomes stronger as the series progresses. I would also prefer if the series is fairly recent and has decent art. If it is a manga then it should be either complete or is being scanlated and released on a regular schedule. Please check my list before recommending. If you cannot think of any series with a male lead that fits this description then you can simply recommend a series with a lead that fits the description above but does not hide it. | instead of a series may i reccomend a movie? its called sword of the stranger a violent samurai movie the guy tries to fight without sheathing his sword until he has to to protect someone i really reccomend it its really good |
| I cant think of one exactly like that, but maybe Fairy Tail? The protagonists all start out quite strong, and get even stronger. Also, Berserk might be a good choice. |
| Trigun is the first thing that comes to mind. I would suggest Gintama as well, but battle arcs aren't as often as one would expect. |

| I've already seen Sword of the Stranger and am currently reading Fairy Tail. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Guts seems to be all muscle... Trigun and Kage Kara Mamoru seem to fit. Thanks! :) Keep them coming guys! :D |

| Ahh, you dropped One Piece... *sad face* Anyway, from your list: on-hold - Nurarihyon no Mago (+ second season) ptw - Ao no Exorcist Chrno Crusade - (human form hides his power but not much people know that he is a demon) Dogs: Bullets & Carnage - Badou acting dumb alot...and better to read manga after watching ova. Ergo Proxy - he just forgot he can kick asses (and screw the world aswell) and randomly gets awaken - later on he will controle it. GTO and Shonan Junai Gumi - in prequel Onizuka acts weak on purpose, in tv he is just true badass dude Sacred Seven - hiding his power from normal people - only few know the truth...but the show itself is kinda average - at least for me. |

| Chrome Shelled Regios - Acts like he's weak but then he uses it. Trigun - For sure. Ao no Exorcist Ichiban Ushiro no Daimou - Doesn't know he has the power completely but then controls it. (I think) Hidan no Aria - For sure he hides the fact that he is like some super gun using guy. |

| from my list that fits your description would be : - Chrome Shelled Regios - Hidan no Aria - Densetsu no Yuusha Densetsu - Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - Legend of the sun knight, there's a manga adaptation of it... but the arts are well you know... so I reccomend you to read the LN if you're interested in it - Sword Art Online, same case as LSK.. or you might want to wait for the anime - Hyouketsu Kyoukai no Eden, again.. this is LN too... but worse since the TL project got halted Damn you winter sonata!!! - Zennou no Noa, this one is manga... not action oriented one tho and also this one only has one major arc - Toaru kagaku no index series, well kinda - Sun-ken Rock, he's more of a brute tho.. - Mahoutsukai to Deshi no Futekisetsu no Kankei - Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, this one is LN sorry there might be some more in my list but.. I can't really recall them atm xP |
