Looking for an anime with a very cold MALE MAIN PROTAGONIST who is considered to have some personality quirks.

Hi, this is probably my third time of asking recommendations here, last time I did is more than a month and now here I am again asking all your help for recommendations with some adjustments.

Before so I thank all the users who posted on my last topic even though some of the recs didn't fit my requirements at least I enjoyed watching them.

And now here's my deal.

I am looking for an anime with a MALE MAIN PROTAGONIST that fits the following characteristics.

Personality:

Likes:

- silent who doesn't talk much and doesn't express his feelings;

- calm who knows what to do on dire situations even he don't have options, he's unfazed;

- distant towards other people because he doesn't want others get involved with him;

- has a sad way of solving problems by himself for the sake of his friends and never telling them or doesn't let them knows it;

- solo and independent who doesn't want any companions even though he had, he's the one making things done quick alone;

- cold when a girl is affectionate towards him;

- emotionless on touching moments;

- not perverted who babbles about girls and not flirtatious who always hitting on girls;

- quiet when, for example, surrounded by crowd;

- aloof who doesn't let things bother him
(e.g. when he's bullied);

- have no hesitation of defeating enemies even if he had to kill them, he'll do it;

- doesn't nosebleed, get surprised, panick or scream when he sees some chick stark naked;

- not blushing when a girl tries to get close to him;

- accepts the facts in a stoic posture and able to do what needs to be done;

- doesn't take too much credit despite what he's done;

- denies what good things other people says to him and prefers to be the bad guy because he hides his kindness;

- never speaks up for himself like saying "I'm too kind! You must be lucky", or "Don't you realize how wonderful I am?" or things that bloats confidence;

- strong and not overconfident about his talents or powers that surpasses other people;

- dense of the romantic feelings of girls towards him;

- doesn't want to go around spreading about his past so he can get over with it;

- when things got wrong, he'll do what's necessary to keep it from getting worse and not blaming onto someone;

- doesn't beg for help when in pain;

- helps somebody without a word,;

- cautious, analytical, able to study his surrounding during battle;

- Terror in Resonance (Zankyou no Terror) - NINE (throughout the series);

- The Sacred Blacksmith (Seiken no Blacksmith) - LUKE AINSWORTH (exept for his complaining for Cecily);

- Black Cat - TRAIN HEARTNET (for the episodes until Saya's death);

- Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning (": Suiri no Kizuna) - AYUMU NARUMI (throughout the series);

- Nodame Cantabile - SHINICHI CHIAKI (exept he's angry sometimes);

Zwei for me is somewhat emotional at the start of the series, even when he becomes the phantom after the events between him, Eim and Scythe, when he and Eim finally reunited, and also on Cal's death. He's just forced.

Why don't you try 'Attack on Titan'. Not the MC you will like but the other guy that appears after the half of the series..I think start form ep.13. I really sure he met all your requirement. He is the most favourable character in the story base on ranking of 'best male character'...The production even made a spin-off (OVA) about him after the series ended.

Are you talking about Levi? I read of him on a forum long ago. As far as I remember you may be right.

Does episode 13 and so is focused on him? And the OVA you mentioned?

Yes, LEVI. The series of course does not focus on him but the MC. But he makes an important role to protect the MC. It can be said he will be there throughout the next half of the series (I can't really remember) but you won't get disappointed to get to know him. And the OVA is fully about him as MC..The title is 'Attack on Titan: No Regrets Captain Levi'...

+1 To SnK. You are basically describing Levi and there are like 2 OVA exclusively for Levi i guess. (Both of 'em were great..).

I would recommend watching the main show also. Its really worth a try i guess. Many of the characters will probably immerse u (IMO).

I don't know if you will like it or not. If you want to give a try, I recommend 'The Law Ueki'. I watched it a long time ago and as far as I remembered, I watched it 2 times (but not in my favourable list).

And you don't prefer mecha, but still, if you want to give a try, 'Heroic Age' I would recommend, space battle (in my favourable list..just one and only mecha space in my list..honestly, I don't like mecha).

And both the MC might not fit all of them, but some are there and I'm not sure if throughout the series (not really remember). I don't know if you really want the actual story with the MC that fit all the requirements (both do not have romance...well not 100%). It's really hard to get as you have list all the anime you don't prefer but I like some of them.

Well, if you don't like you can just stop. I'm just suggesting it. I will tell you around the future if I have any recommended list base on your requirements.

Speed Grapher and Dimension W are both good a hardly talked about anime. While a lot of main characters fit the bill, I think these shows fit your overall style as well. Just keep in mind that Speed Grapher rated R and deserves it much more than most anime.

I just finished watching Nabari no Ou. The protagonist fits pretty well even though he's often being protected and the anime series is good. Gonna watch Berserk soon enough. Any users here have recs that might fit? Post it here and I'll check them out.

Have you tried watching Mushi-shi? I think you'd really like the main protagonist in that.

You might also like Ao Haru Ride, as the lead male is exactly as you described in your preferences. However this anime is kind of shoujo so I'm not sure if you'd like it.

Already watched that. Some people says Kazuma fits but for me, he's not. As the series goes to end he begins to be enotional, he picks a fight with his father, etc. Sorry for being too specified of what I want but the series is good and enjoyable.

Hah...I've watch almost all of them but Sakomoto Desu ga and Kuroshitsuji. I'll check those 2 out.

the MC is female...but the male MC you should be focus on. He might fit for you. Check it out.
He might be better than 'The Law of Ueki' and 'Heroic Age' that I had mentioned before... But still, you can try them all.

I already watched it. He gets emotional in Season 2 as he cries in front of Yui and Yukino, for Season 1 maybe yes because of his methods but his dialoges are disappointment. For me he's just a normal loner. On episode 2 if I'm not wrong he tries to save Yui frrom being bullied but he can't.

Update your list before asking for recs, i can assure you 99.5% of the people who use threads won't spend time reading your whole post instead of looking at your sharing compatibility in the profile.

I am pretty sure that if you had enough time to write all that updating your list wouldn't be that much of a bother.

I'll do that soon enough. Since having a poor internet speed and connection which is the most common problem here in the PHL I wasn't able to update my list.

Virgo Shaka from saint seiya though hes not a main characters there are still many cool moments of him actually being present in the series during the sanctuary and hades arc which makes him a pretty cool character and saint.

Currently watching episode 5 of Kobato. As the series goes on focusing on the girl named Kobato and her stuff animal Iyoryogi, the boy Fujimoto really fits so far even though there's not too much scenes on him. At the start of the series the anime will shake your heart. It's a little late to watch it as the Holy Week here comes to an end. Anime like this are worth watching such as when Christmas is close, so as for me. Thanks for this rec. Gonna watch the rest soon as I can score free time.

As the series goes on focusing on the girl named Kobato and her stuff animal Iyoryogi, the boy Fujimoto really fits so far even though there's not too much scenes on him. At the start of the series the anime will shake your heart. It's a little late to watch it as the Holy Week here comes to an end. Anime like this are worth watching such as when Christmas is close, so as for me. Thanks for this rec. Gonna watch the rest soon as I can score free time.

I've finished it and it was a good anime. I thought they'll never see each other again as the ending goes sadder but many years have passed and they finaly reunited.

So far I tried watching Heroic Age but I stopped, Black Butler had a different protagonist. The rest are still on checking.
