((I hope you don't mind me repling ^^;;)) Lucas blushed a light tint of pink when he heard Cassiel's comment of him being an "attractive snack", then got a little irritated when he heard Ki's comments. Then he walked a litte slower and sighed softly,....I was right, he doesn't remember me.....I guess that was already kinda expected....i'm not that memorable, Lucas thought to himself. He glanced at the people around him; Cassiel....Prospero.....a demon with a smart-mouth (Ki).....and a fledgling. He figured that the fledgling would probably be at least a little kinder to him than the others. The auburn haired man walked a little closer to Darien and smiled softly,"Hi...", he said softly and shyly, and with Lucas's horrible luck, Darien wouldn't probably be nice to him, since Lucas was so useless. |

Ki keckled. "So even after 2500 years you have no taste" He whispered in Cassiels ear. "All warm blood is good for you? Not to mention you can't even tell what I am" Then Ki turned back to Darien "You must be turned very recently right? Fledgling + sunlight = trouble .... just keep that in mind cutey. The coat is to keep you from burning out and the journey, no idea." Then he paused. "Directions? When you follow these guys you'll end up straight in hell." |

"...A demon right?" Cassiel furrowed his eyebrows looking up at Ki "But there is something that's off about you. Different from Prospero for instance" he shrugged his shoulders and then took off his coat-even though it was actually a cool morning- and passed it to Darien. "there. Put the hood on, just in case because the sun is already trying to get through the sky. As for the journey...it's a quest we're on. However being where we are now I'd rather not talk of it out loud and it is for my safety as well as yours." the white haired vampire stated. "If you are interested in committing until we take the next stop...then I'll be able to explain it more fully somewhere that's... private. Oh. Lucas, was it?" he looked at the boy "I have no idea how a human can be useful to me so it will be in your best interest to say farewell." this wasn't even harsh, he said it in a normal soft tone. |

Prospero's words surpised Ki. *Stick insects make out?* Ki glansed at Cassiel "Are you being serious, I thought my human half would interest you, but I guess I was wrong ... well, better luck next time" He sighed "A quest uh? I have one question .... Will it be bloody?" Ki somehow knew that with these guys it couldn't end up differently then bloody, so he added "If so, I'll tag along for extra information" He closely monitored Lucas facial expresions, not because he was interested, but because he was thinking. "Speaking of bloody, why not use the human as a snack, you said you'd like him right? Or else feed him to the fledgling, he seems hungry." He walked up to Lucas and stroked the boy's cheek with his thumb, cutting him with his nail. "Oops I think I just spilled precious human blood, what a waste don't you think vampire-san?" |

Lucas flinched a little when Ki cut him, and wanted to really punch Ki. Then he looked over at Cassiel,"But.....Cassiel.....I wanna be usefull to you guys! We could figure something out, right? Even if you use me for a snack, i want to be useful!", Lucas said,"Even though i'm just a human, I could help somehow!" |

Darien had to admit, he was sooo confused. He couldn't help but look around at all these eccentric figures and wonder what the heck they were high on, yet at the same time a tiny smile was tugged onto his lips. "Stick bugs make out?" he asked the taller vampire (unknowing voicing Ki's thoughts ^_-) as he wrapped the cloak around his shoulders, tying in up and covering himself with the hood. The little conversation happening behind him hadn't drawn his attention until the thick smell of blood permeated the air. Darien turned his head and peeked out from under the hood, surveying the miniscule cluster (2 people = cluster? xD) around the human who was...dammit...bleeding. We'll just pay them no mind then, he thought innerly, adjusting his bag underneath the cloak. |

"This is some logical thinking" Cassiel nodded his head " and hey, Darien if I were you I wouldn't ask. And... hmm he's so skinny and small I'm not sure if it's going to be enough for us" he murmured looking over at Lucas. "I mean...Ki is a healthy demon you'd be able to devour that in a second right?" he rose his eyebrows with a small smirk " and ...it may get bloody I'm pretty sure it will. And... ah the smell of fresh blood always lifts up my mood" he added with a generous smile. |

Ki smirked. "You are so right, he wouldn't be very nutritious would he? Nor tasty" Ki hoped this would put the Human at ease for a second, before getting on with his sentence. "But when hungry I'll devour anything, even rabbits, so this human will be a delight compared to those." He whipped a drop of blood from Lucas' face and put his finger in Darien's mouth. "If you like his taste you may have my part, you look way too skinny, you should eat more" He took a peek at the slender figure of the vampire. "And we don't have any use of someone who faints because of a lack of nutrients." |

Lucas wasn't the only one getting nauseous. Darien tried shoving Ki's finger out of his mouth with his tongue, but he only succeeded in wiping off some of the fresh blood. After that failed, he resigned to untangling his hands from his backpack and grabbing Ki's wrist, forcefully trying to pull the man's finger out. "You're too big!" he bit back harshly, in response to the comment about his size. "And I'm fine, so you can leave me alone!" |

“Would you stop groping each other –the guy is slender and that’s all” Prospero put his hands in his pockets. “I know a great place where we can talk normally... hopefully NOT about food” he grimaced with some disgust. To eat...raw meat? Yuck.... “...and about the journey itself. And this is what we’re on about, right?” he looked at the rest and carried on with a sweet smile. “However I bet you’d rather fuck on this perfectly cut lawn and I understand that.” He reassured. “however if you want to come with him” he pointed at Cassiel with his chin “and with myself then I’d advise to hurry up.” The sun suddenly began to shine more brightly and the temperature rose drastically. “So, how will it be?” |

Ki was laughing due the tingeling sensation in his finger. "What a cheeky one, playing around with my finger uh?" Ki said to Darien. "And so what if I'm too big for you. It's not like you SHOULD care." Then he turned towards Prospero. "What's up mister petulance? Jalous that we're not gonna leave one last bite for you?" He pulled Lucas in closer, pulling him against his chest. "A healthy demon like yourself should have quite an apitite." Ki ran his tongue along the cut in Lucas cheek which was still bleeding. "And about that journey, get over it and tell us what it's about, I feel like wasting my time." |

"Oh for satan's sake" Cassiel rolled his eyes and he walked up to Lucas almost dance-like. He took the boy's wrist in his hand and brought it up to his own lips and not really thinking twice on it he took a good bite not even pretending to be gentle about it -he knew it would cause Lucas pain, and usually he wasn't as scruffy with the piercing of the skin either. He pulled away very quickly though and then moved away from the human. "I cannot stand the taste of pathetic victims. This is just too much for my tastebuds, and I cannot imagine anyone other taking pleasure in such foul blood and therefore I see no need for you anymore. Even as a snack you're useless." he stated and then turned to Ki. His face changed from grimaced to a clearly irritated one. "First of all, half-demon I think you're thinking too highly of yourself again. I am the one who is leading this quest and you either get lost now or you stick with us until we get to the place that Prospero mentioned. I cannot be fucked to deal with someone asking me questions when I stated what I want to do." he said and then sighed as if to calm himself down inwardly. "And at last... I'd like to point out that not all demons eat raw flesh and ... clearly Prospero is from a different step of the social ladder. And I actually approve of the hurry, so the 'mister petulance' is unnecessary. " Cassiel finished in the cold tone. |

Prospero smiled, he was pleasantly surprised by the vampire`s reaction. As a thank you, with a small but honest smile he opened the main gate for him tilting his head to the side a little. Some things don`t have the need to be said... and some are the opposite. "If you had enough time to observe one of the cooks and don`t have enough time to listen to a few lines then you`re contradicting yourself, and anyway, using some manners has never hurt anyone, however acting like a dog being off his leash has." He replied coldly. |

Darien stifled a chuckle. These people were definitely insane, that was for sure. Mean to each other, and bat-shit fucking crazy, but at least he would have free entertainment 24/7. Even if said entertainment was sometimes raunchy and peeved him slightly (he was NOT playing with Ki's finger, dammit, it was just stuck halfway down his throat!). And....sometimes it involved blood...which was when the small smile fell completely off the fledgling's face. He thought it would be proper to speak up about the blood that Cassiel had just wasted (nasty-tasting or not) and the injury he had caused a mere human, but he had already seen what happened when lower ranks tried to reprimand higher-ups. Not only did he want to have to engage in a wit battle, Darien also noticed that the sun was rising higher in the sky, and it really would be best if they could get a move on. |

"Didn't I tell you he'd taste bad little elder?" Ki moaned before he let go of the human. "So this group of idiots IS organised. But then again, knowing it's you who acts as a leader, it doesn't surprise me that there is no progress so far." He watched Cassiel while he was preaching and replied with: "You seem to be very fond of this 'high and mighty' well mannered demon, aren't you?" He walked to the side of the fence, where he leaned against the wall so he could face Prospero directly. "I prefer feeding over listening to some centuries old vampire tell me what to do." Ki said as he turned his head to look at Cassiel with disgust, then he turned back to Prospero. "Out there" Ki pointed in the direction he came from. "Behaving like some Victorian era British Gentleman will get you killed, while acting unpredictable, wild and assertive will help you to survive. If you ever get chased by groups of vampires and demons who want to kill you, you just have no time to bake the meat you found, or take a tea-time break." Ki said with eyes full of fire. "There being unpredictable kept me from being murdered. I live my own way because I've always been an outcast with both humans and demons. You can't imagine that being of such a 'different step on the social ladder' so stop judging me until you know why I'm like this." Ki said. "I'm not going to say I'm not hasty when it comes down to forming an opinion about someone, so I know I might not be the best person to say this, but at least I try to stay open towards others and try to get to know them better." Ki got on his own legs because he had the feeling he would have to flee from here very soon if this continued. He turned around so he could place his feet to the wall as a support and as a way to launch himself from here if needed. "That's why I ask either to bare with this for a while, to get to know me better, or tell about your 'o so amazing' quest, for I'll probably leave. You don't have to tell all the details, but just give a rough sketch of what you're planning to do." He sighed. "It's not like there is anyone around except for us and one of the maids who went to clean up the arbour. No-one but us will be able to hear it." Ki rechecked the environment for strangers, but he could not smell, hear, see or sense them. |

"Out there, if you behave like a Victorian gentleman you can persuade others to hunt some `wild` trash like yourself, boy" Prospero laughed wryly. "The history of your ever so exciting life interests me about as much as yourself. Just so you know. And talking about hurry.... asking for it I had my reasons, but it seems like I have to be blunt with you" he looked the demon in the eye "we`re in a hurry because in 15 minutes this place will be full of guards and demons powerful enough so that during the battle they`d be able to PREPARE meat before eating it and of course all the more capable of making you vanish from this Earth even before you think `what are they doing here?`. So shut it and move your ass if you feel like listening to what we have to say." He entered the streets quickly. What a stupid brat! Is it the rebellious mode, or what? What does Prospero care about the story of his life (TM)? Was there anyone even listening to it? He snorted with irritation and carried on forward to the earlier mentioned pub. He had no time for pleasant chit-chat in the garden. Prospero had to get out of there |

Cassiel felt like he was about to explode with the demon trying to scold him or explain him how to 'survive' while really who gave him the right to do so? But before he could reply hearing what Prospero said made his heart -not alive anymore- jump in his chest. So... he really DID smell the blood in the morning. Because... there had to be a reason why there would be guards and even Prospero wouldn't be safe. Because that's how it sounded either way. Not really pondering over the whole thing, Cassiel grabbed Darien by the elbow and just pulled him so that they could all enter the streets and start making a safe escape from the mansion. Once even the human followed Cassiel turned to Ki. "Right then, wild and assertive you said? Tell you what, I'd die in my first hundred years were I to behave any differently to what I did. OH, I'm sorry you're not even hundred yet! Well, what kind of advice can you give me about survival when so it seems I managed to make it for quite a while acting only accordingly to what life has taught me. " he replied and all the irritation came back to him making his face red. "I don't feel the need of getting to know you better because I can already see you are a tramp with no manners or logic -I wouldn't have said that weren't it for you being hasty to judge as well. Whatever the case, I hope that Prospero saying what he said made it clear that we need to get to the pub BEFORE I start explaining anything?" he didn't stop once while he was talking. |

Ki stared at the street as Prospero was talking. "Like a blood thirsty demon would leave his pray, you, if you kindly requested him to chase someone else." Ki said mockingly. He hated being told what to do, but what else would you expect from an Einzelgänger? His notice that there would be guardian's and killer demon's here made his eyes open wide and made him gasp for air. "You sparked my interest, boy" He said to Propero after following the others out of the yard. "If you're right I have no chance to survive here now, but tagging along with you guys might just mean running into them again at a better time, if they are so full of it that they will come here in large numbers as you expect, they won't slack off and let us walk away. So I guess I will tag along for now." Then he turned to Cassiel. "And to you, dearest Elder." Ki grinned. "You weren't left to live life on your own were you? You wouldn't have to be like this because you had some friends around. I wouldn't have been this way if it weren't necessary for survival. Anyway ...." He now was talking to the other demon again. "I'll come to that place you mentioned and will check if we're being followed. But not knowing who you were expecting." He looked at Prospero while making sure his dagger was ready to be used. "I can't tell who are, because there are some very strong demon's around here in town, and a vampire or 4 and I don't know if it's them you need to watch out for." He followed the rest while focusing. "Demon in the 4th house in the next block of houses at the right side." He said to show he was really paying attention. |

Prospero glanced behind him and rose his eyebrows. "Brat" he emphasized "If I feel anything disturbing then I will warn you." He didn't believe in what he said... Prospero preferred to rely on himself. "I know who and what to expect, I also know how to avoid and defeat them." He continued in a bored tone. "Probably you'll soon outburst with something like 'why do we need to run if you know how to defeat them?!' or something similarly pointless. Well, I'll tell you - there are things more important than saving your own life; also called the lesser evil or the better good if you'd rather use that... Let`s wrap it up though because I'm falling asleep just mentioning it." He grimaced and turned into a side alley. Prospero made a few steps forward and stopped in front of the rubbish bins. "What kind of idiot put them here?" he murmured to himself and with one hand moved away the metal bin. Behind it, there was an entrance to what appeared to be a cellar. Prospero went down the steps and opened the wooden door. "Come on in." From the inside they could hear quiet jazz music and there was overpowering smell of female perfumes and cigarette`s smoke. |

"Well, this didn't take all that long to get here." Cassiel stated with a shrug as he followed Prospero inside. The cellar turned to be a room with solid brown walls, which reflected the warm light thrown by the few lanterns which were placed on the tables, and some were hanged above the bar. The bartender was chatting quietly with some pretty ladies sitting by the bar and they fluttered the long eyelashes. Since it was still fairly early there weren't all that many people there and everyone seemed to mind their own business. Cassiel lead the rest to one of the tables which was a bit distanced from the others. He decided for now to just let go of the silly argument with the half demon. The vampire let his eyes wonder on this rather...eccentric group. "Let's order something and get down to business, right?" the small smile came back onto his lips. Ki only reacted to Prospero with the words "You don't make any sense." Then he followed the demon downstairs. He hated the smell of the place, so unnatural. He looked around and watched the strange crowd. He sat down opposite to Cassiel so he could face the vampire. "Let' just say were not the sole demons and vampires around here." Ki said. "Ok that sounds like a nice idea." He reacted to Cassiel's proposal. Ki felt like provoking the elder and demon even further. "A demon ordering blood would look quite strange don't you think?" He asked no one in particular. "So let's settle with wine. What do you guys want?" |

Darien took off his pack and set it under the table so he could sit back in the chair and relax. Though it was pretty hard to relax in this sort of atmosphere. Why did secret meetings like these always have to happen in bars? Between the strong scents and bare lighting (plus the possibility of two too many drinks :D) the man almost always walked out with a headache. Then again...had he been to a bar since he was turned? It was true - though the nasty smells and background noise were more obvious, he had already adjusted to the lighting and could see each of his companions' faces clearly. He had also decided to wait until everyone else had told an answer for Ki's question before he would pipe up. Somehow, this group made him overly cautious...a price to pay for the entertainment? |

"If you want it, then feel free to order some. I can guarantee it will be fresh and good quality." With interest he observed the women by the bar who giggled loudly while glancing suggestively in their direction. "Vanessa!" Prospero said louder. A frail blonde run up to their table wearing a short dress with puffed sleeves. "What would you like, sir?" she asked while fluttering her fake eyelashes and blushing ferociously. "The usual for me. Drinks are on the house" he said to the rest. At that time the girl took out a notepad and a pen from under her apron, standing in such a way that Prospero's face was right next to her low-cut neckline. The demon didn`t mind at all, but he had absolutely no time today. However... he glanced at Cassiel and hiding a smirk he embraced the girl`s hips. Vanessa squeaked and giggled moving even a little closer. *I wonder what he`s going to do* Prospero thought observing a certain vampire with the corner of his eye. |

Cassiel glanced over at the woman who run up to the table. A Barbie-girl sweet whore. "I’ll have a glass of sherry. Darien, Lucas do make your minds up, or else this lovely lady" his voice was bittersweet and there was venom practically dripping from his lips "may find herself to be too excited to stay in our presence. Especially since she’s already so flushed thanks to our dear companion." He said in a cool, distanced tone while pouting his lips a little. "Oh, and darling?” he looked at the girl, still wearing this strange smile. "You may want to wear a bra to work. This dress itself doesn’t seem to be as supportive. Unless of course it is for tip purposes." Cas added while he played with the beer mat. |

"Jealous, bitch?" Vanessa asked sweetly as she placed a hand on Prospero's shoulder. "I can see that your business isn't going so smoothly considering there are so many bored men around here." she added looking suggestively at the others. "Oh, don't I just adore when they talk back." Cassiel all but hissed at the girl. "And these aren't words suited for a lady, so I guess it was a misjudgement to call you one. Not to mention it is not my business to entertain males of all sorts, but I believe that you would know all about it. And do not answer because you aren't expected to." |

"Tsk tsk..." Prospero shook his head and pushed the blonde away. "Don't be so sharp Cas... she's only working here." he felt that Venessa was relaxing now so he added "Which may not last much longer if she continues to talk back not only to the customers but also to mu guests." he didn't even look at her. "I apologise for my behavior sir." Vanessa replied reluctantly while gritting her teeth. |

Darien looked between the three figures and cleared his throat, hoping to draw Vanessa's attention to him. "I'll have a rum and coke," he told her, a small smile twitching at the corner of his lips. He hated ordering...it almost made him shy. Shyness was definitely not something these people had (discluding Lucas, who looked so timid he might fall apart if someone so much as raised their voice at him), which was obvious with the scene that had just unfolded. |

Ki watched the scene with disgust. *And Cassiel said he wasn't behaving like me and he wasn't so fast with judging people, well my ass! He's absolutely not as social and well mannered as he said he is.* Then he looked at the waitress. "I'd like to order a red Merlot ((wine)) please." He sat a bit more up-straight. He watched the people at the table. Lucas, next to him, look like he needed a serious drink and Ki almost felt like recommending a drink with 2 times the amount of alcohol that his martini had. But Ki knew for sure that it'd lead to unnecessary remarks from Cassiel and Prospero. On the other hand you had Darien, who looked like he wouldn't be able to handle his rum and coke or rather, he looked like he could get drunk on blood containing a bit of alcohol, the poor guy. And Ki didn't care at all about how Cassiel and Prospero would handle their beverages. He did however care about their personalities, especially because Prospero was his mothers boss, and Cassiel, who knows how long he had been there before Ki arrived! Cassiel had no respect for others, so Ki could only hope he either didn't stay long enough at Prospero's to meet his mum, or that he at least treated her with dignity. Prospero, acted like he were so friendly and respectful to others, but between the lines there were remarks that would have killed if they could have done so. *I don't think mother is working for such a gentleman. ... And what was all the shit about the guardians and demons? Why would he flee? OH NO! MUM IS STIL THERE! Ki thought as he stood up without thinking, slamming his hand-palms against the tabletop and making his chair fall backwards. His eyes were full of both fear and disgust as he stared to his right. "YOU!" He said at the demon with a growl. "You act like you're so nice to people and that you're so well mannered, but in the end you abandon all the workers at your house to be left there for the Guardians and demons as a snack. You also said things to this lady to get her less tensed, but in the end you threaten her. You're even more of a lowlife than some demons I met who went killing for fun, even though you may not feed on humans or hominids. So stop acting like you're a hot shot!." Ki didn't knew how he pulled all of this off without starting to yell. He did however give the entire speech in a grunting voice that has more than once scared human to death. |

"The flattering will not get you far boy." Prospero replied calmly. "The guards and demons have no right to touch any of the servants, family or other innocent people." *I was the one who made these rules* he refrained from rolling his eyes. "This cook of yours is safe, I can guarantee that." a smirk came upon his lips. "And as for your speech about my modest self... what can I say?" he sighed theatrically. "Years of practice and a bit of creativity. One of the waitresses, this time a short-cut brunette brought a tray with their drinks. "Hello Nicol" Prospero nodded his head politely. The girl looked at hm with her big green eyes and replied. "Good morning sir" she nodded to the demon "And you sirs" she nodded to the rest. "Your Blue Lagoon" she placed a tall glass with bright blue liquid in front of Prospero. "Martini" she put another tall glass in front of Lucas "Rum and coke" in front of Darien there was a thick made glass with brown contents. "Sherry and red Marlot, is this all or would you like something else?" "An ashtray for me if you could." Prospero's voice which addressed the girl was surprisingly kind and pleasant with no mean notes. "Of course, just a second. Anything else for you sirs?" her green eyes now looked at the rest of the men. |

Cassiel actually found it so difficult to keep himself from laughing at Ki's sudden outburst. Really this was just hilarious. A tramp such as him calling Prospero a lowlife -how ironical and oh how very entertaining! So, he just took a big sigh and run his fingers through the white hair in order to calm himself. "... I think we are done. Thank you very much" he said politely to the waitress. Really it was about time for them to get down to business. Before though he took a sip of his drink and found that it was exactly the taste he needed. "And so... now that you are assured, would you mind sitting down? Really I don't mind the performance but you are making quite a scene half-demon." he addressed Ki while making himself more comfortable in the deep, leather chair. One thing never changed for so many years -Cassiel still cared about appearances. And so, while he was able to argue and fight when there was a good reason for it, while in public place he tried to keep from doing so, and merely he let some sarcasm slip from his tongue. Even as he spoke to Vanessa he wasn't acting all out rude. "Fine then gentlemen. I feel like we can finally talk, no? Well, firstly you don't need to know WHY I am on this quest or where have I heard about it because it is not necessary." he didn't want to say that he could talk to the dead while there were still ears around whom he didn't trust and he doubted that Ki would actually stick with them. "Secondly, the aim itself is to find a book" he lowered his voice. "The chronicles to be correct, of the vampire-human war which most of you should have at least heard of. Needless to say looking at where the world is going we can anticipate another war happening soon... and so this is crucial that such a book is in our possession not in the wrong hand. " he paused for a moment and looked down at his sherry. "I will not be able to find it alone. And for this reason I need companions whom I can make use of. However now that you have heard at least a part of it you need to make your decision because... I cant have you going around while knowing too much. Oh and if you do decide to join me, then be prepared for danger and being away for a long time" he added offhandedly. |

Darien toyed with his glass of alcohol before piping up. "How do we know you aren't the 'wrong hands'? some of us just met you, what, half an hour ago? If that? It'd really suck to find out we were helping the bad guys all along." The fledgling kept his eyes on the table, trying to choose his words carefully so no one would have a hissy fit. "Can you at least tell us what you plan to do with this book once you are in possession of it? And, is anyone at the table good at detecting lies?" He joked halfheartedly, but he had already made up his mind. A journey with a purpose was much better than wandering aimlessly, so of course he'd want to tag along. |

"This is a very good question Darien" Cassiel replied with a wide smile as he looked at the other vampire. "You don't! You have no way of knowing who you're helping out here but ...that's all a part of the thrill isn't it? Also, can you really see me wanting to actually enslave all the humans or do something similarly ridiculous? I much prefer the current state of things." he shrugged his shoulders. "As for what I'm intending to do with it... I just want to... see if it can answer some of my questions." he half-explained. |

"The curiosity killed the cat." Prospero murmured sipping on his drink. He knew where to spend the night to save themselves from meeting uninvited guests. He wired the money three days ago to his account so the demon didn't have to worry about funds. They also won't be found in this place- no one would admit to going to such a place. He relaxed and with pleasure in the amethyst eyes he observed Cassiel. |

It took Ki quite a while until he was finally able to sit down without first trying to behead the demon and elder. He had a hard time suppressing his anger, and the downplay of his arguments wasn't making that more easy. When he DID finally sit down he was still trembling of anger. Ki drank half of his wine in one gulp. Then Ki finally spoke up. "Staying with you guys is dangerous enough without that bloody quest. Never the less I myself have once been looking for that chronicle. Although I didn't succeed, I'm thinking that sticking with you guys, how terrible that could be, might give me a better chance to finding it than alone." Ki had now calmed down enough. He drank an other sip of his wine while looking at the faces of the others, checking out how they'd react. "I'm actually looking for a book that used to be related to this chronicle you are looking for. I hope to find some crucial information about what I am looking for if we find the book." Ki started playing with his glass, moving the bright red liquid from side to side, taking in the aroma which was *much more pleasant than any of the stench in this rotten place.* |

"Oh now, isn't that surprising? And how did you find out about this book?" Cassiel rose his eyebrows with a slight interest. Really, he didn't think that many alive people actually knew about it, but of course because of this very reason he had to be careful because there could still be people out there after the very same book and Cas may find himself in trouble were he to come across them. He took a sip of the sherry and enjoyed its strong, sweet taste. The crimson colour shined beautifully in the glass. "Also... have you taken into account dear sir, that after all your accusations I may not be happy for you to join us?" Cassiel let his voice hang in the air and then a small smirk came onto his full lips. "Let it be though. But I will be expecting subordination and I will not be repeating myself twice. If you feel that your wild life has taught you better you can turn around....now." he stated. "Also, let's be frank here. Lucas what CAN you offer me, and for what reason should I let you come? Darien what can you do?" he then faced the vampire. "I'm sorry gentlemen, but I am not just taking anyone with me." |

"Well, for one thing, I know a fair amount about history, especially vampire/demon history. I've researched a lot and when I was researching I heard about that legendary book thing you guys were talking about", Lucas replied and took a sip of his martini,"Plus, I love a good adventure", he said, smiling |

By the time Lucas was finished with his little speech, one of Darien's eyebrows was hiding in his bangs. A human, knowing all of that information about vampires AND demons? Not to mention a legendary book that he himself hadn't heard of? (That was to be expected...he had just been turned, and didn't know much about the "supernatural" world.) It was just too good to be true, a human younger than himself knowing more than him. It kind of irked Darien. Wiping any annoyance from his face, and fledgling offered up, "Before I was turned I was heading this way to the mercenary camp a few towns away. I never made it there, of course, but I was recruited mainly for my already existing skills." He shuffled his feet under the table, before looking up at Cassiel. "Call me a bodyguard if you like. Plus, it's not like I have anywhere special to be any time soon. I can accompany you for as long as needed." |

Ki already saw this coming. "I never expected this to become easy, not with people like you in charge." He said with disgust. He was really doubting if he should tell the truth about his knowledge about the Chronicles. He was afraid of what Prospero knew about his mother, and if this might reveal about their family-relation. He couldn't make up a good excuse about how he'd learned of the chronicles, so he decided to tell them enough, not all though. "The short answer is that my mother told me about it when I was a little kid." The half-demon took a deep breath. "The long answer is that she herself was told by my own father, a demon who was born way before your friends the pharaohs were. This chronicle you're looking for is part of a series of books. In the same series is a book my dad is mentioned in, that's why he told my mother, and that's why she told me. I hope to find out more about him." He put his hand to his sword. "And make Mortemhere live up to his name." Then he reacted to Dariens speech. "I somehow think some of us will end up being your bodyguard." Then he directed himself to Cassiel again with a simple "So?" |

"...Ahh well I can't really say that I need a bodyguard to be honest" Cassiel said and smiled "but help from a fellow vampire will be really appreciated. Adn ... well Ki, you ought to be grateful to have me in charge" the smile seemed to be indestructible "I'll keep all of you nice and neat in line when needed. Either way... there is a series?" he rose his eyebrows "Any idea how many of them there are? Well I have got some clues as for the place where to look for it, but before hand... Lucas I am sorry to say that this is pointless. I do not see how a child, and at that a human child can be of use to me. I have enough of knowledge of my own, I don't need knowledge offered to me by a human." he said , the smile coming off his lips and his voice becoming dry. |

Prospero calmly smoked the cigarette while watching the rest. There were 21 books according to what he knew, each of them of different length and about a different period of the war; logically, each one would be kept somewehere else. He took a sip of his drink. Two adventure seekers, one 'AVENGER' and a kitty that was 'looking for an answer'. He grimaced inwardly *Well , no one will look for me in such company, my mother would get a heart attack.*. He put off the cigarette and reached for the new one , however together with it, something shiny fell out from the inner pocket of the coat. A small, diamond earring in the shape of a turtle. He calmly reached under the table and put it back in his pocket. |

((100th RP POST!!!!!!! Congratulations all!)) Ki bended over to the empty spot next to him to pick up the thing Prospero let go of so he could return it to him. Then he saw it, an earring made of some sort of gem, probably diamond. When Prospero had picked the thing up and put it away Ki sat up straight too. He looked at Prospero's ears. They were pierced and had earrings in them, but even though he seemed super rich, Ki couldn't imagine him waring such girly earrings. *Diamonds are a girl's best friend they say* Then Ki shook it off, he knew too little about the demon to think of why he had earrings in his pocket. Then he replied to Cassiel. "I don't know the exact amount for sure, but according to my mother, 6 books were dedicated to humans, 6 to vampires and 6 to demons, then there would be 1 for the relationship between each of the races. The first part seems clear, 18 books over 3 races, but the last part can be interpreted in multiple ways, is there one book that talks about the relationship between the races? Or is there one for human-vampire, one for human-demon and one for vampire-demon? The total would then end up at either 19 or 21." Ki paused and played around with his wine some more. "My father first didn't talk about his history or his race so he could get my mother pregnant. Then after she gave birth of me, he told her everything, to the last little detail in the hope it would turn her mad. If she'd have committed suicide he would leave too, leaving me under the care of strangers and therefor making sure I didn't know a thing about either one of them, but my mother didn't turn mad and so the stories were passed on to me." |
