| I was thinking of a fun little thing, perhaps irrelevant to the average person, but maybe something cool for others. Influenced off of the Xbox360's "gamerpoints," I was thinking MyAnimeList should have a point system based on the anime watcher's "Watched/Watching" list. Or the feats he or she has viewed. For example, each episode watched could be worth one "Otaku point", and completing x amount of episodes or series in a certain period time be worth some other amount of "Otaku Points." Having this ranking could be something fun to compare to other viewers, similar to that of "Days spent on anime" that we currently have. Just a thought :p -Aeikai |

| No. These kind of things are stupid and pointless. I'm fairly certain Xinil has ruled out any kind of forum game type things, and this doesn't even quite reach that. It'd just be more load on the db that we really don't need. You already have list figures and a forum post count, do your own math on it if you really like. Make a club for people who want to do this sort of thing, and give them little "MALTAG"s with some obscure number derived from their stats. But having it built in to MAL itself is rather worthless and would simply be unnecessary strain on an already struggling system. |
| I don't like the idea of the point system since there is already a days watched system. Though I think it would be nice to have the days of anime/ manga under your avitar where your forum posts are so that people can see when you are in the forums how much anime you've watch/ manga you've read. |
