| The infirmary where Rahkami takes care of Adventurers guild members |
| Edridin, Sabriel and Ledo arrive to Rahkamis "Hey Rahkami, got couple patients with me" Edridin calls out and lays Ledo on the bed Rahkami walks in from her office room The half orc looks at the people who barged in "Ah, Edridin and Sabriel, what a nice surprise *she turns her look to Ledo* and who might this be?" "Ah, sorry my bad manners, this here is Ledo, a noob in the guild, he has fractured rib and sprained wrist, Sabriel, has broken arm, so could you take care of these two, i have to get to guild to report Master about our quest" Edridin explains and quickly gets out of the infirmary heading to the guild in a brisk pace |
| Sabriel stared after him with resentment, wishing she could leave as well, how lucky Ledo was that he had more or less blacked out.. "How, hows it going there?" She greeted nervously |
| "I'm doing good and even better now when you two brought in that elf" She said with horrifying grin "Well let's take a look at that arm of yours *she checks up Sabriels arm, handling it surprisingly carefully instead of her regular rough, almost violent way* Hmm, i assume Edridin took care of first aid, because to me this looks pretty good, i just put it in a splint, and change the bandages and you are good to go" She said and got to treating the arm |
| She jerked away violently when she took her arm yet, it was weird since she was handling it so carefully.. was this even the same woman..? "I thinkI fucked up some tendons, I can't move my fingers" she told the woman begrudgingly |
| "Oh? well, that requires quick little surgery then" She said and fetched a syringe and anesthetics, she filled the needle with needed amount of anesthetic and injected it to couple spot on the arm, dulling the pain in the arm fully, instead of just getting in to the surgery for some reason she really made sure the anesthesia took effect, she poked lightly on the Sabriels arm with the knife "Feel anything?" she asked |
| "Yes..." she murmured forcing herself not to jerk her arm away on reflex from the knife, "Hey.. are you okay...?" Sabriel asked worriedly, this attitude was weird, too weird |
| "Yes, why do you ask" Rahkami asked confused, "Well since you still feel something, i let the anesthetic effect for a little more time" Rahkami says |
| "Because you never used anaesthesia before.. and my limbs are usually dislocated before you actually start to treat them..." she carried off getting more shocked by the minute at how patient the woman was being.. for the first time in five years.. |
| "Well, Romule told me that you became warden" Rahkami told her, Rahkami has a tradition of taking better care of wardens and masters, rough handling of noobs and regulars is to scare them enough to not hurt themselves. "I think the arm should have numbed by now" she says and pokes the arm with dagger again "feel anything?" she asks again |
| "EHH? wait, then what about Edridin when he broke his back! he was a Warden then!" She shook her head telling her she no longer felt anything. Right now was the first time she was glad for being a warden, she was very glad for being a warden, now it didnt matter if she got banged up on quests as much as it would have been before. A weird smily-grin appeared on her face at the thought |
| "Oh he told you about that, well the problem is that you can't dull the pain in the back, it is the center of the nerve system, so i had no choice but taking care of him just like that, i also didn't put him under because it would've been waste of medicine, he would've felt the pain anyway, gladly he lost conciousness pretty quickly" Rahkami explains and makes a precise cut on Sabriels arm, revealing the tendons "Hmm, i see, this sure is troublesome one" She says and puts a clean cloth on the wound "Hold that cloth on the wound for the while, i have to get something from my office" She says and walks to her office to get something The cloth was wet, it was soaked in something, it seems to lessen the bleeding pretty well, that woman sure know what she is doing and shows her professionality when she works carefully |
| Sabriel did what she was told, making sure she applied the pressure in a similar way that the doc did, still with the goofy grin on her face no more medical torture~ kept going through her head, again and again and again, while she waited for her to come out with whatever she had gone to get |
| After a while of searching and rummaging she comes back with vial of purple thick liquid in it she sits down on the chair she was sitting earlier, she removes the cloth noticing that Sabriel had been keeping the cloth on the wound correctly "Good job, as you can see, the wound wont bleed at the moment, i'll tell you later what was on it, but what that liquid does is that it stops blood flow on open wounds" She explains and pours little bit of the purple liquid on the wound, you can feel light burn when the liquid spreads and sets. "Have you ever wondered why Edridin is so good in first aid?" Rahkami asks out of the blue |
| "Practice? Need? Sin?" She didn't really mind the burn, she'd had a lot worse, and a lot worse, one was walking back from who knows where with the crushed leg. Yet the question had bit at her curiosity now, people who specialized I'm first aid were either people who couldn't physically fight, got injured easily, were rubbish at not getting wounded or had comrades that got wounded or some noble reason like not wanting to let a friend die or what not, yet those intentions were waisted on Sabriel like usual |
| "Well, mastery of first aid and a bit more is another advantage of warden and guild master, i teach wardens and masters first aid and some more advanced medical treatments, Edridin could even perform surgery if the injury is something that he knows how to take care of, but the problem is his lack of knowledge about anatomy of different races and he can't analyze the injuries in the same way as i can" Rahkami explains After a while, the purple liquid has dissolved and fixed the tendon, Rahkami stitches up the wound "Allright, now you should be able to use your fingers as usual again" She says and puts Sabriel hand into splint and bandages it, then she sets it to sling to prevent any unnecessary movement "And that's that, please Sabriel, visit me after the elf returns to guild, and we start your training of first aid mastery" Rahkami says as she packs up the supplies and hands a roll of bandages and vial of clear liquid in it "After two days, soak the bandages in this liquid and replace the old ones with the soaked ones, it will boost the healing of your arm, and please don't do quests for couple weeks, to let your arm heal completely" Rahkami says |
| "Couple of weeks? Is there no way to make the healing quicker..? We're probably going to have to go on a raid soon enough to some punks" she trailed of, she didn't really care for first aid, she was pretty durable like that after all and she took pride in that, but if she had to have first aid treatment to carry on getting the special service she would glady sacrifice it as she placed the stuff that the medic gave her in the pouches |
| "You're going to have a raid? well, tell you what, visit me before you leave and i give you something special that will support your arm so that it wont get injured again, but it wont speed up your healing any further, just allows you to fight" Rahkami says "Oh, and i'm serious about the first aid training, if you wont take it i will start treating you like regulars and noobs again" Rahkami added with dead serious tone |
| "Will I be able to move it freely and with the usual dexterity though?" She asked slightly worried that, thinking back to the guy who had kicked her before, it had hurt but adrenaline handt let her register it, as for the medical trsining, Well it was obvious she was going to come, "and for the past 5years I thought you were some sadistic asshole that couldn't get laid" she laughed |
| "Yes, you can use your arm as it was never injured, you just have to be little careful to not take heavy impacts with it, and what comes to sadistic asshole, i get that a lot, and it's false, i act as a sadist to noobs and regulars to give them a reason to not act so recklessly, when they are scared to visit me, they will act more carefully to not get badly injured" Rahkami explains |
| "It worked, trust me" Sabriel laughed, "I'll be back later on once elfy leaves your capable hands" she smiled saying goodbye "snd I'll definitely be back for that support thingy" she said her goodbyes |
| "Aye, see you until then" Rahkami says and starts gathering supplies needed for taking care of Ledo |
| Ledo He lay on the bed, watching the woman work, he didnt hear anything they said, but she didnt look rough. If he was able, he could probably make some lavender or cayenne pepper to help numb the pain. But he didnt have the materials to make it digestible. He smiled at the doctor when she came over, [b]Pleasure to meet you miss, Im Ledo. |
| "Pleasure to meet you too Ledo, i am Rahkami" Rahkami says with grin "So a broken rib and sprained wrist, well lets take a look then shall we" She says and starts taking off Ledos cloak and shirt to get to tend to his ribs |
| Ledo Alright, go ahead, it's this one, he says, gently touching a spot on his rib cage. |
| Rahkami feels the rib, with her regular rough style and analyzes the injury "This sure is bad, have you been running or jumping a lot lately?" She asks |
| Ledo He grimaces as she prods it, Yep. He gasps out from the pain. |
| "Well, i have to perform simple surgery to fix the bone so it wont cause any further damage" Rahkami says and goes to get her knife |
| Ledo He nods, [b]Alrighty then... |
| Rahkami comes back with her knife, she pulls her chair next to the bed Ledo is lying on and sits on it "Ok, here i go" She says and starts to make a cut to his side to where the fractured rib is |
| Ledo He cries out as the knife goes in, writhing in pain. The pain was tremendous. |
| After making the cut she cleans the wound and looks at the rib, "Hmm, so this is pretty bad fracture, i'll go get something, hold this" She says meaning the cloth she had placed on the wound so he wouldn't bleed all over the bed |
| Ledo He whimpered at the after effects of the pain, holding the cloth to the wound. |
| After a while Rahkami comes with vial of dark green thin liquid in it, she sits back on the chair and takes off the cloth from the wound, she takes another cloth and soaks it into the green liquid, she puts the cloth on the rib pushing it a bit too hard, you start to feel burning pain as the medicine starts effecting "I keep this cloth here for fifteen minutes, after that i close the wound and we can take a look at the wrist of yours" She says |
| Ledo He cries out again, tears of pain streaking down his face as she presses the cloth into him. The burning pain was nothing compared to it. He lays there and reluctantly gives her his wrist. |
| After fifteen minutes she takes off the cloth and stitches the wound "So the wrist then, can you move it at all?" She asks |
| Ledo He nods, his teeth were gritting together too hard to speak, as she was pushing the little needle through his skin. |
| "Well then i just give you a splint to support the wrist and that's all, it will get better in couple days" She says and goes to get the splint |
| Ledo He doesn't say anything, just watches her warily. |
| She puts the splint on and ties it with bandages "Alright, all done, you're free to leave when you want" Rahkami says and goes back to her office after packing the supplies |
| Ledo Ledo gets up, leaves and makes his way to the guild. |
| After walking down the streets Sabriel walks into the infirmary without even knocking, the room seemed to get colder all of a sudden |
| Rahkami hears footsteps and walks out of her office noticing Sabriel "Ah Sabriel, there you are" Rahkami says |
| "Where else would I be?" She muttered slipping herself down on a nearby cot, glaring at nothing. Growing stupid plants on her was something, but growing them in her ducking pudding was on a whole friking diffrent league |
| Noticing her upset mood, Rahkami sits next to the cot "Hey, whats up? you seem upset" she says |
| (Lol ducking, meant to say the f-word lol) "I tried to punch someone on reflex with my right arm, I didn't render them any damage my own force backfired on my self and now my arms gone numb" she sighed leaning back, which wasn't actually a lie |
| "Ah, so you managed to damage a nerve, don't worry it'll heal up on time, but sadly i can't do anything about it" Rahkami says |
| "Wasn't expwcting a solution" she sighed, "you asked what was the matter, so, what do I start with?" She asked counting to 10 sliwly, yet this time it worked |
| "How about you start with telling me why you're upset" Rahkami says |
| "Nothing's wrong" she looked at her raising both eyebrows, "why does something have to be wrong?" She furrowed her brow slightly, God she preferred the woman when she was a sadistic doc who didn't ask questions |
