| I am extremely new when it comes to ranobe. I have read SoA up to vol 6, Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria vol. 1, the one shot Ame no Hi no Iris, and currently still reading Spice and Wolf vol. 1. What kind of books do you enjoy, Heichou? |
| I like descriptive writing. I'm about half way done SAO Volume 1, and I should probably finish the rest. My friends all read the SAO light novels and say the anime leaves out a lot. From what little I've read thus far, they definitely have. But yeah, as far as reading goes, story goes a long way. I started reading Volume 1 of Absolute Duo and Highschool DxD and they seem promising I guess. I definitely prefer the DxD light novel over the anime because there's more story and less shenanigans. I'm pretty tempted to read Koten-bu Series when I'm done watching Hyouka. I may even start before I finish. When it comes to reading in general, I like fantasy and books that have animals. A few years ago (I know I started reading them in fourth or fifth grade... So maybe five or six years?) I used to be super obsessed with Warriors, Seekers, and Guardians of Ga'Hoole. I still have like all of the books in mint condition. Since then, I've moved on to super thick books that it'll take forever to finish. I'm currently reading It and Pet Cemetery by Stephen King. (King is awesome because he's descriptive and tells a great story.) :) |

| I seriously cannot take King's style. Does it mean I do not suit the descriptive style? I guess I draw a line to the limit of its length. I tried King twice but both times I seemed to have chosen the wrong sample. No! Don't try to convert me, one of my Book Club members tried and failed XD I do not mind Charles Dickens though, because there was historical reason why he wrote thus long. I think I am going to read Bakemonogatari for the next ranobe. My personal opinion is such style is more suited to be read than watched as anime. |
