Looking for an anime with a MC that has inner demons/problems that leads to misunderstanding/hatred

Hey guys, as the title says im looking for an anime where the MC has inner conflict that leads to them being misunderstood/hated. i need a break from all the happy ending romance animes i have been watching recently and all my searches have not turned up anything useful.

What im not looking for is a love story that starts out with a misunderstood MC who is later accepted. I want the MC to be hated through out the show regardless of what they do.

Hm. I believe Blue Exorcist fits your criteria. The Male MC is hated because he's the the son of satan, he's misunderstood, hated and yeah. The difference is that there really isn't much romance. Maybe like lightweight but that's it. Another difference is that the supporting cast soon realizes he's good. So he's hated at first but liked by everyone later. Meets your criteria half way.

Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu :) He is hated by everyone except his friends all the time. Watch first 2 episodes and decide for yourself.

Psycho Pass (give the anime like 7 episodes for the main male protagonist to become hated by EVERYONE, he starts off being rather disliked though)

Zettai Karen Children (MC is loved by his comrades, hated by everyone else, he's classified as a 'terrorist')

Bounen no Xamd (inner demons, yes, hated, not so much)

Fate/Stay^

All I can think of at the moment, first few fit both criteria, after Bounen No Xamd it's only inner demons.

This. No anime will ever fit your criteria better.

When you say hated, Oregairu is also up there with LOLH. Hachiman starts out neglected and ends up hated. Except by a couple of people. But, its less of a misunderstanding and more of a sacrifice play.

Oh, and how can one ever forget Trigun. The classic example and inspiration for all hated/misunderstood protagonists. As long as you dont mind the outdated art, it will probably be among the most satisfying anime you could find.
