I was wondering if anybody knows what kind of software Anime producers use for their shows? What is the industry standard?

They draw it with crayons scan the images and make a slideshow.

Shows them having to draw the key frames and inbetweens, then they have a bunch of girls color it.

I saw them using Adobe Aftereffects in that.

I'm sure there's a ton of different software each individual studio uses. I don't really know what they are though. I imagine a lot just use adobe software, Illustrator/photoshop/aftereffects etc.

Paint man pro, then regular photoshop if they have enough money. Plus some special equipement to scan what's on paper. Eventually 3d programs are used more and more nowadays but they are still tricky if you don't have the manpower. Japan and occident are two different thing and have their own way. For example Xara x can be used to draw mangas, i did some for my games but that program wouldn't be used in japan, same goes for very good programs such as anime studio and manga studio (mostly used by freelancers).
anyway if you are looking to do as they do, paint man pro is the way to go but don't go for that cracked version on internet (there is only one) it is full of virus and crap, you have to buy it

Obviously they don't use ONE program, but I'm sure they need 3D Programs like Maya and graphic programs like Adobe Photoshop. There's MORE to It than what you may think. A lot of Studios still do the drawing on paper method for anime (Key Frame). But for the average people, we don't know the answer. IF someone in the Forums actually works from a Animation Studio, THEN you can get a clear answer from them, but majority of us just go by logic or whatever information is out there.

Anime Studio is one of the widely used software for creating Anime characters. Others include Anime character maker and other graphics software.
Anime Studio has the following features:
1. It uses Smart Bone Rigging system for creating skeletons
2. It is vector based
3. Supports 2D
4. Has different types of layers for artwork
5. Has lots of Effects
6. Its has many new features for beginners and advanced users
