| "How are you even in a position to judge something like that?" "Uh, because I hear him complain about you all the time." Said Adam. "He seriously wishes you'd go fall on a razor sharp stake or something." |
| Lucas shrugged. "I DID say that." |
| "He wouldn't have said that." Heather said. "Too bad, he kinda did." Heather hissed, her eyes turning red. "You better take that back." "Yeah, go ask Lucas that." |
| Heather grabbed Adam's arm and tugged him off the bed onto the floor, but before she could do anything he tripped her and looked back at her. "Get out of my room, bitch." He said to her. |
| "Fine." Said Heather, getting up. "But just remember you're the one who started the insults." "The insults you deserve to hear." |
| "Whatever. I'm not listenning to you." Said Heather. "That's what you demons do, you know. You get inside people's heads and screw them up." "Well then maybe you should have been a demon and not a vampire." Adam countered. |
| "You're no better. Listen to yourself. Two days as a demon and you're already turning into an asshole. It took me two years, so imagine how you'll be after that long. Way worse than me." Said Heather. When Adam didn't reply, she just left. |
| "Na, we shouldn't baby him. Plus he's seeing Mason's daughter later." |
| "Trust me, he's okay." |
| Adam scoffed and lay back down on his bed. 'What a bitch.' He thought. 'But...maybe she's right...' |
| Lucas continued drawing. |
| Lucas glanced at the clock above the piano. "Did Mason give a particular time?" |
| "OKay well.....he works the midday shift at the hospital. Since he's a regular doctor and probably doesn't deal with emergency calls that means he'd work and 8 hour shift. Starting at about 10, so he can be there not too early but still at a reasonable time, that would place the end of his shift at six. He doesn't look like the preparing type and since his daughter's a demon she's probably not fond of his eating habits, which would mean his daughter would have to fix her own meals, placing her return time at approximately four thirty so she can make herself dinner and be done by a about five thirty with half an hour to clean up and be done when her father gets home. Since vampire meals don't exactly take a lot of preparation, he'd be done pretty quickly, meaning that a reasonable time to show up at the house would be between six thirty and seven." Lucas concluded. |
| "I watch Criminal Minds. Sue me." |
| "It was just basic logic, that's all. It wasn't that hard." |
| "So, six thirty is an hour from now." Said Lucas. |
| "Correction: you have an hour to find something to do. I'm good here." |
| "Not really, no." |
| Lucas went back to drawing. Meanwhile upstairs, Adam was sitting on the bed, writing in the book Heather had thrown at him. |

| A short time later, Adam came downstairs. "Are we going soon." Lucas glanced at the clock, it was 6:15. "I gueeeess you could, yeah." |
| "Does anyone want to come with me or am I just gonna go my myself?" [Not much point doing it if your character isn't tagging along.] "I can't." Said Lucas. "Sun's still out." |
| "Thanks." Said Adam. "See you later i guess." He added to Lucas. "Bye." |
| "Trouble? Me? Come on." Said Lucas, grinning. "Now shoo." |
| Adam followed. |
