| "Same here." Said Adam. "I'm just kinda tired." |
| "Yeah." Adam stood up. "Thanks a lot for this. I don't know what I'd have done without you guys." |
| Adam smiled slightly and left the room, going to the one Lucas set up for him. |
| "I dunno." Said Lucas. "I'm amazed we made it this far." |
| "For now." |
| "I think we could all do with a good sleep now." Said Lucas "Agreed." Adam entered the room Lucas had straightened out for him. He had felt dizzy when he stood up, although he hasn't said anything about it. 'Theyre already worrying enough about me.' He thought. |
| Adam lay down on the bed, exhausted and also worried. It had been three days since the last time he'd taken his medication and even now that he knew what Joshua had added to it, still he longed for its effects. However, as tired as he was he was soon asleep. "I guess this means you guys are going now then." Said Lucas. |
| "Well I guess I'll see you guys around, and next time hopefully not when someone's trying to kill me." "Yes, that would be nice." Josef agreed. |
| "Yeah well, Alistair's toned down his heartlessness since last time I was with him so that's a plus." |
| "Adam seems to be doing okay too...I'll try to keep you posted with how he's doing." |
| "I really wish we didn't have to be saying goodbye again so soon." Josef said sadly. "You and me both." |
| "But since Alistair hasn't torn you up just for being here I suppose that means you can visit. And he thinks that Adam is a vampire so I'm pretty sure there will be no questions asked in terms of how he's doing because he wants me to deal with it. So, Adam will have a place to stay for a while yet." |
| "Exactly. Things are looking up from here." |
| "Nah, no point." |
| Lucas smiled back, glad that he'd made her happier. |
| "Yeah." Said Josef. "I guess we'll see you around." "See you. Also look out for Evangeline I think she's downstairs." Josef headed out the door, casting a quick glance back at his brother. Last time it was Lucas leaving him behind and now the roles were reversed. |
| "Bye." Lucas said, giving a small smile. |
| "Hi." Josef said as they went down the stairs. He sighed. "Man, why does weird shit always have to happen around us?" |
| "Lucky us." Josef said sarcastically. |
| "Oh well I guess we just have to make the best of it." |
| "Besides, I'm sure Lucas can manage." |
| As they reached the front door, Josef paused for a moment. "You know, in reality Alistair doesn't really seem as bad a person as we thought he was..." |
| "I guess you'll be seeing us, yes. And I'll be the judge of Alistair's specific qualities for myself thanks." |
| "Thanks, but he can apologize himself. See you." Josef said, opening the door. |
| Josef closed the door. "Man, I'm glad to be out of there. That house has a weird vibe." |
