He gave a nod that doubled as a short bow, before disappearing. A few moments later, a man dressed in rags was thrown through the door, which shut with a resounding boom.

The spontoon slices through the belly of the prisoner, spilling his entrails upon the floor. The prisoner frantically tries to cram his intestines back into his body, before Trent's second stroke separates his head from his body.

I blanch. To be bound to a rotting corpse or a shade for eternity? Disgusting! But, Maab said only a life time, and so only a life time it will be. I give Trent a sweet smile in return. He's useful and fun, and in the fullness of time, I bet he'll be tasty too.

I cast a last, regretful look at the meat lying on the ground, before I follow my Master. I see him sitting at the base of a wall, weeping. Dammit, can't have that. Maab will yell at me. I kneel down beside him and start rubbing his upper back, making small circles with my hands. "Don't worry; I don't love you, and you have no friends, but neither of these are problems. You have years to your life. Besides, what do you want? You didn't want me as a lover - you purchased a slave, someone to dominate. I'm still your slave, you're still dominant. Besides, there can be others; I am not an end all, nor is Zane. Even if you don't go and try to reach out others, just think about what you and I can do! We can set fire to the Tree of Life, and watch it burn before we die! We can murder Frigg, and rape Freya! We can hunt down and flay Coyote! We can break gods, and burn mortals! We can write our names in fire, blood, and tears, so that we never fade away!" At this point, I stand up, and extend a hand towards my still sitting master. "Come with me, and poison the world. Will you come with me, Master?"
