| "I dunno," Blair said as she grabbed a scalpel and put a chunk of leather between her teeth. She took a breath and used the scalpel to dig deep. Then she got tongs and dug in, screaming as she grabbed the bullet shakily. She pulled it out and screeched again as pain shook her. |

| Masaru sighed. "Or you can just get rid of it the hard and extremely painful way." He said calmly. "You going to be alright?" |

| Blair grimaced as she sat the tools down. "H-Hand me the gauze." |

| Masaru looked over all the supplies she had and carefully picked up the gauze. "This is?" He asked handing it to her. |

| "Yeah," Blair said as she quickly stitched the wound and covered it after putting on peroxide. "Thanks." |

| "You're welcome." Masaru paused. "Were you telling your truth back at the dorms?" |

| "About?" Blair asked as she took a few pain killers. |

| "Actually caring." Masaru said seriously. "You'd have to be stupid to trust me. And since my family's high up on social chain, I might even end up on the council on day... protecting purebloods, the ones you hate most. What reason could you have for caring?" |

| "I can sympathize with you, and I understand you're uncomfortable with your situation. Plus, you're an ally," Blair smiled. "That's why." |

| Masaru stared at her for a few moments, then sighed. "How can you change the air around you like that. One moment it feels like you want to castrate someone. Now it's actually somewhat calm and gentle." He paused again. "But how exactly can you sympathize with me?" |

| "Rough home life, high expectations and a hatred for anyone higher than you," Blair stated as she put out her cigarette. "I do it usually because I'm feeling comfortable or neutral." |

| "High expectations? Back when you were human?" Masaru asked. |

| "They think I died during a chemical explosion, and yes," Blair said casually. |

| "What did they want out of you? All I'm going to be is some type of assassin basically." Masaru sighed. |

| "They forced me to go to high level schools. And that led to them forcing me to go work in Japan because it was mandatory that I win a Nobel prize like my great great great uncle." |

| "Well, that sucks. All I have to do is kill people that are threats." Masaru sighed and shoved the hand he was holding Rin's with into his pocket. (Sry. MAL was being wierd and wouldn't let me see ur post >.<) |

| "Masaru-nii can we go back? Hero is scaring me." Rin said hiding behind him |
| "Hero went back to the school with Zero and the other girl." Masaru said patting her head. "I told you, I won't let you get hurt." |

| "Oh ok!" Rin smiled. "What should we do now?" She asked looking up at him. |
| "Hm... Well, you could look at some stores if you like. Maybe you'd find something you like." Masaru said. |

| Rin looked up at him. "Really? You'll let me go to stores??!! Your the best Masaru-nii." Rin smiled hugging his leg. |
| Blair smirked. "There's a new candy shop on the next road over, right next to Level E turf." |

| "Eh?!?!? CANDY!!!" Rin screamed jumping up and down. "Let's go there!!" Rin said pointing in the direction. |
| "Alright, we'll go." Masaru sighed. "You want to come too?" He asked Blair. |

| "Come on Blair-chan!! It'll be fun! Plus I get CANDY!!" Rib said dancing away. |
| "Oi, don't wander off." Masaru warned, sighing. He started walking after her. "You don't have to come if you don't want to." |

| "I'll go," Blair said as she armed herself with weapons. |

| "Come on Blair-chan what can go wrong." Rin said to her. "It's not like they wanna ambish us." She giggled stopping and waiting for Masaru. |
| "That's exactly what they want to do." Masaru stated, catching up with Rin. |

| "What do ypu mean? Why would they wanna do that to us?" Rin said innocently looking up at him. |
| "They're Level E's. They can't control their hunger. Though they usually pick of lone humans. Which is why I don't want you wandering off." Masaru stated, patting her head. |
|
| Rin nodded abd stayed close to Masaru. " Vlair-chan where is the candy store?" Rin asked her. |
| Blair grinned. "Up ahead, then take a left by the tobacco store. It's right there." |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| Rin nodded and dragged Madaru past the tobacco store and into the shop. "Wow!! So much candy!!" Rin said with wide eyes. |
| "How often do they attack groups of people? Or do you not know?" Masaru asked leaning against the wall. "Get anything you like, I'll pay for it." |

| Rin nodded and wander deeper into the store in search for the perfect candies. |
| "They hunt alone, and they go after what looks tastiest," Blair muttered. |

| Masaru nodded. "Hero, you feeling better?" He asked. |
|
| Rin screamed. She saw a Level E behind a shelf and lunge at her. |
| Masaru, with almost lightning speed, grabbed the Level E by its skull and slammed it into the wall of the store. |
|
| Rin slide down the wall and hugged her knees. She had wide eyes and shock on her face. |
| "How annoying." Masaru let go of the Level E, it sliding down the wall with a trail of blood following from it's head. |
|
| "Are they gone?" Rin aked curling into a smaller ball. |
| Blair fired her gun, hitting him between the eyes. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| Masaru grabs the vampire's neck and slams him against the wall. He then forms his shadows around his hand, and plunges his arm into the vampire's chest as if he were stabbing with a sword. |
