Higurashi When They Cry: Festival Accompanying Arc
| I am confused.. everyone says Higurashi is bloody, gorey, and scary. But there isn't that much blood OR gore. It's all psychological. I've watched the series through Kai and everyone says the series is gorey but it doesn't show anything. Am I just missing all the gore of a non-edited version? Is there a more explicit, gorey version of the series? I'm kinda big into gore. Higurashi is a brilliant series, with layers upon layers of psychological torment- don't get me wrong, but it's just a simple question. Do YOU think it's gorey and scary? |

I think it is gorey and scary enough.I havent seen Another yet but till now Higurashi remains as the best horror anime I have seen.Now if someone could do a good adaption of Umineko EP6 I would change my mind. As for the gore.The scene Rika stabs herself,Rena when she kills that pimp and his woman,some of Rika's death scenes,the scene with the fingernails and Satoko being stabbed by Shion definitely were gorey enough.Surely not Ganzt or Elfen lied level but gore does exist. Note that scenes like Rena killing that bitch and her man were censored in the Tv broadcast. Tv DVD |
