| "I'll tell you what. If I die and become a Shinigami. I'll give you my death note. Will that make you feel better?" Masaru said nonchalantly. He obviously did not expect to lose to the Kira's or get killed anytime soon. |

| "No," Grace said as she got her blanket off of the couch and wrapped it around herself before sitting in the chair again. "But thanks for trying." |

| "Sorry, I'm not good at making other people feel better." Masaru said as he cleaned up his meal. After he was finished, he walked to his room to put his gun away. On the way he patted Grace on the head. "I'm not going to die anytime soon. I don't know what else to tell you besides that." "Yo Takeshi. That brat has an idea." Rin said floating in from the ceiling. "Which would be?" Masaru asked with a sigh. "He'll make the Kira's think you're dead, but he wants to borrow my death note." Masaru thought about it for a while. "Fine, but he's only borrowing it." Masaru then tossed Rin Chi his death note. "Tell him if he gives that death note to one of them I'll kick his ass into the cement." Rin replied with a chuckle and phased through the wall again. |

| Grace blushed lightly as she dried of her hands with a towel. She put away all the extra food and sat on the couch, curling up into a ball with her blanket again. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| After Masaru put his gun back in his bag he walked back into the living room and sat down. "Hopefully Zero knows what he's doing. It's not gonna' be good if he fails." |

| "He's young. They won't suspect a kid," Grace said as she burrowed into a corner with her blanket wrapped tightly around her. She had her feet buried under Cerberus. |

| "I hope so." Masaru said leaning back. "I guess I wont have to worry about Rin Chi annoying me for a while at least." |

| "Why's that?" Grace asked. |

| "Because he'll be with Zero for a while. They're going to trick the Kira's into thinking I'm dead." Masaru said. "And if he can get the Kira's to open up to him even a little bit. They're dead." |

| Grace smirked. "You sound excited, Masaru." Now all she had to do was make him smile. Grace was surprised he was opening up to her. |

| "Maybe a little. Aren't you?" Masaru asked looking at her. "Once Zero gets their location it'll be as simple as going there and shooting them." |

| "I usually wait until the last second, but yes I'm excited. It's just new to see all this emotion; you seem human," Grace smiled. |

| "I guess I'm just starting to get used to you. But don't expect me to be all happy go lucky." Masaru said calmly. |

| Grace smirked. "Well thanks for crushing my fantasy," she giggled. |

| "You've got some imagination..." Masaru said sighing. Now all we have to do is wait... The Kira's are going to die soon. |

| Grace smiled. "Thought of what you want to do when this blows over?" |

| "I suppose I could always go to Alaska with Kage." Masaru said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. |

| Grace rolled her eyes. "You're in a good mood." |

| "Just a little." He said closing his eyes. "But I really don't know." |

| Grace smirked. "Maybe I could share some of my cases." |

| "Sure, though I still get enough cases to keep me busy." Masaru said yawning. "I thought you were referring to after I get tired of being a detective." |

| "Go to a place you've never been," Grace shrugged. |

| "Not that interested in sightseeing." Masaru said calmly. "What about you? Don't you think you'll ever get bored of this?" |

| "I'm thinking about adopting a I'd from Whammy's," Grace smiled. "I'm a contributor, so I'm high priority." |

| "Hm... Interesting." Masaru said with his eyes still closed. "Least you have a plan." He yawned again. |

| "I'll probably be a horrible parent," Grace chuckled as she yawned and blinked lazily. |

| "No, I think you'll be a good one." Masaru said. "It takes a while to get used to, but once you do it gets a little easier." |

| Grace smiled. "Thanks, it means a lot," she yawned. |

| "Still a little tired?" Masaru asked opening one eye. |

| Grace nodded. "I had to...finish a case over in Istanbul in the middle of the night." |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Oh, I see. That explains why you're tired." Masaru said. "Well, go to sleep if you want. Nothings going to happen for a while anyway." |

| Grace nodded and yawned as she burrowed into the blanket and fell asleep. |

| Masaru sighed. "You shouldn't overdo it, baka." He said leaning back some more and closing his eye. |

| A few hours later, Grace's head popped out of the blankets. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| Masaru was sitting on the couch motionlessly his eyes closed. It seems that he had fallen asleep as well at some point. |

| Grace stood and got dressed. She and Cerberus took a long walk though the property. |

| Masaru slowly woke up. He stretched his arms and yawned. After that he went to get some water, still half-asleep. |

| Grace walked in laughing and soaking wet as Cerberus slid on the wood floors. |

| "Seems like you had fun while I was asleep." Masau said groggily, yawning again. He sat back down with his water and took a sip. |

| Grace smirked. "Cerberus and I kinda had a tumble into the lake." |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "And how exactly did that happen...?" Masaru asked narrowing his eyes, but still half-asleep. |

| "Cerberus saw a duck and dragged me in. He almost drowned me, but we're fine now," Grace said removing her shoes and jacket so she wouldn't drip. However, this left her in a tube top and shorts. She grabbed a bottle of water and sipped it. |

| "I see... So I take it that either you had a good nap or that getting dragged into the lake woke you up." Masaru yawned. |

| "A little of both," Grace giggled. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Well, at least one of us rested well." Masaru said taking another sip of his water. |

| "Wanna take my bed? It's comfy," Grace smirked. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "I'll pass... Thanks." Masaru said calmly. He wasn't positive since he had just woke up, but he was pretty sure that she was trying to get a reaction out of him. |

| Grace shrugged and took a long shower, returning in a tshirt and sweats. |

| Masaru was petting Kage who was laying on the couch next to him. |
