Just recently finished Higurashi because I saw a meme on it that I thought was funny and decided "what the hell, why not?". I'm glad I watched it because it is an amazing anime. First season is damn suspenseful the whole time, making you play detective and figure out what the f*** is going on was just awesome. The second season was also very well done, and while it still kind of maintained the horror aspects of it, it was mostly action-oriented and wrapping up loose ends. Still that doesn't degrade from the anime as a whole and I was very glad I found it and decided to give it a chance.

For those that have seen it what do you think? Those that haven't seen it, what's your reason not to?

I also watched a couple of months ago. That was actually the first mystery/horror anime I had seen and as you say it was very good. I was hooked in the first four episodes.

Yeah Higurashi in my opinion was a masterpiece in its own way. The first season you really had to figure shet out on your own like a detective. I liked that aspect of the Anime. The 2nd season basically explained everything the average viewer didn't understand from the first season.

Higurashi is and always will be one of my favorites.

Fuck Kira though.. I'm still gonna try to watch the second episode though -_-'
