Lookng for an anime similar to True Tears and Amagami SS.

Like the title suggests, I'm looking for an anime similar to Amagami SS and True Tears, that romance/drama feel they have mixed with the comedy is amazing. It's perfect for me! If you have anything you know of please do reccomend it to me, i'd really appreciate it!

Clannad and Clannad ~After Story~
Angel Beats! (it's not listed as a romance, but the drama, romance and comedy aspects are strong, particularly towards the ends of the series)
Kimi ni Todoke (not too strong with the drama, but a very sweet romantic comedy)

I've read the first Clannad manga, it's a good story, I'll look into the anime. Angel Beats looked like something I'd like at first glance (just the art of it) but I never wached any of it cause of what it was categorized under, I'll also look into that as well.

Isn't Kimi ni Todoke a shoujo manga? (sorry for not posting this sooner but I'd prefer shounen or seinen over shoujo, I liked amagami and true tears cause it was from the male protagonists perspective, not sure how I'd like being on the reverse end of that lol.)

Wanted to bump this up for more recs.

I also wanted to add I watched all 13 eps of Angel Beats and your right the ending is great.. just wish they went further with it

amagami ss will have a special episode OVA bundled with the BD's that has a sister arc, so technically yes, but not in the TV run like yosuga no sora.

Kanon and Clannad/Clannad AS are similar to what you're after, but be warned they are also tear jerkers.

Honestly it's hard to beat Amagami for this style, it's one of the better anime I've seen in this genre. If you don't mind different settings (ie not current era highschool), check out Otome Youkai Zakuro. It's a romance/comedy with some supernatural fight scenes thrown in, and really underrated I feel. Its season is nearly over as well so if you started now you'd probably catch up as it ends. It isn't omni-bus format, but each of the girls has their own thing going on so you get to know them all.

Same recs as before because they're just that good.

Planetes might also interest you- there is some romance (builds very slowly/realistically), and don't be fooled by it being in space- it's one of the most realistic space shows out there. Also, it switches between the viewpoints of the guy and the girl.

If what you say about the amagami dvd is true then I have to buy it!

And I'll look into all the recs I've been given, keep em coming the more the better :D

I'm watching White Album now. It's good but pretty confusing, especially the end of season 1..

Yeah, I've heard that the second season really helps clear things up. As for Shinozuka- I don't think that she knows herself!

KimiKiss is made by the people who made Amagami, so definitely check it out.

I also recommend Cross Game, though that series doesn't prioritise romance.
