| From the polls it looks like DearS. Because this is a short series, I was thinking of finishing it and then discussing it on Friday night (because I have work) Also this means we can continues the discusses through the weekend, for those who can't on friday. SO this means you have all week to watch, and maybe start writing things down (but not in the forums till Friday). I will also come up with some questions, just some simple ones. Edit 10/23/13 So if everyone atleast get the first 6 episode will be fine then next week we finish it. If that's okay with everyone. | Okay so I guess I'll start my review. I'm only on episode 7 but I plan to finish it tonight. My first thought was 'whats with the art?' At points through the episodes the art got really weird. Somethings I didn't like about the series so far is the teacher...Why the hell is she so horny all the time. And whats with her being in her underwear randomly. I get that this is the fan services, but I thought the DearS random boob and underwear shots were it. I liked that Ikuhara, Takeya was all horny up on Ren when he saw her naked. I liked that he kept trying to clothe her. And also in episode 6, when Ren tries to have sex with Takeya but he didn't want to because he knew she didn't have feelings for him. I also like some of the behind the scene character like the baker guy and his wife. I like there random fights. I also enjoy the shopping lady's always trying to get discounts on fish. And also when they popped out of no where when the bread was being throw from the shop to catch it. I liked in episode 4 the competitions between Ren and Miu because of what Miu said . THE FLAVOR OF SPACE. Through out each episodes they are some funny one liners "Before she takes my underwear" So my final thoughts I have so far are, the plot is pretty good with the whole aliens and not knowing what they really are and the whole servant and master thing come into play. It's defiantly a series that makes you come back for more because of these questions. But the dialogue isn't that good, it's kind of all the same. Some questions you can answer in anyway. Favorite Character?: Did you like the Intro song?: Did you like the outtro song?: Did you like the art style?: Did you like the anime?:(Answer when you finish the series) Things you would change.: Episode you liked.: Was it hard to get into?: Did you like the voice acting?: My answers Favorite Character?:I liked Oikawa, Hikorou snappy comments. Favorite Character?: I'm gonna have to say Ren. Takaya is too much of an asshole at times, like when he said that Neneko didn't look good in a dress, and everyone else is kinda underdeveloped. I would have liked to know more about Xaki and Rubi. Did you like the Intro song?: In all honesty, it could use some improvement. Did you like the outro song?: I really can't skip it for some reason, so yeah. Did you like the art style?: It's ok, but nothing special. Did you like the anime?: It reminded me of Chobits. The thing is that I think Chobits did a better job of using the main female character as an alien-type creature. Characters in general were done better, along with artwork. The thing DearS did better was the main storyline. It entertained me. Things you would change.: The teacher's random appearances. Episode you liked.: The first time Ren and Miu met made for a good episode as well as the first episode. The name "Ren Ren Ren Nagusaran Rensia Ruroonren Nakora" made me laugh a bit. Episode 12 helped answer a lot of questions, so I liked that episode. The special was fun enough. Was it hard to get into?: At first, yes. Later on, I wanted to know about how Takaya was going to go on about his daily life with Ren there. Did you like the voice acting?: I liked the subbed better than the dubbed. I switched to subbed eventually after about 6 episodes. Ren's voice acting was not done very well in english. ------------------ All in all, I'd give it a 6/10. I could predict most of everything. It was as if I was rewatching Chobits, and scince I kinda liked that series, this was an appealing title. |
