| Raul Suarez finished inscribing the intricate Summoning Circle on the dark wooden floor of the cabin, checking the Tome he carried to make sure al the details where correct. He knew enought about Magic that even a single mistake could spell disaster. "What's next..." he mumbled, turning the page. He had been given the Tome by the Main Branch, just before he was shipped off to this god-awful country. He had to keep the heaters on high just to stay warm. Placing the tome on a nearby table, he pulls a small knife from his shirt pocket. It was ornate in design, with Gold inlayed into the handle. Another thing given to him by the Main Branch. Slashing his hand, he clenchs and allows the blood to drip down from between his Fingers and onto the Circle. According to the Tome, it was needed in order to help complete the contract with a Servant. He had bothered to acquire a Catalyst. Raul hadn't put much though it what Servant he wanted, and honestly he didn't care. Not knowing would just make it more of a Challenge. Clearing his throat, Raul begins to chant: "Silver and iron to the origin. Gem and the archduke of contracts to the cornerstone. The ancestor is my great master Schweinorg. The alighted wind becomes a wall. The gates in the four directions close, coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate. Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Repeat every five times. Simply, shatter once filled. ――――I announce. Your self is under me, my fate(doom) is in your sword. In accordance with the resort of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this reason, then answer. Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead, I am the one who lays out all the evil of the world of the dead. You, seven heavens clad in three words of power, arrive from the ring of deterrence, O keeper of the balance ―――！" |

| Blinding light burst forth from the summoning circle and after a few seconds, the light began to fade, the image of a lone armored figure slowly becoming more and more apparent. The man stood with his arms crossed across his chest, face calm but stern and discerning. He fit the image of a seasoned warrior with a cleanly shaven beard and mustache but, the most distinguishing feature about him was his hat which had a large plume sprouting from its center and flowing back down to its brim, almost like a mane. He announced in a deep voice: "I ask of you. Are you my Master?" |

| "Yes, I am" Raul replies, examining the Servant he had managed to summon. The man wore armor, and was well-built. He radiated a confident aura, as he stood crossed armed in the middle of the circle, which had started to fade. Raul had absolutely no idea who he was, or what class he was. By the man's clothing, he reasoned it must have been one of the 3 Knight Classes, though without a weapon he had no way of telling which one. The Plume in his hat suggested a Frenchman, but even a blind man could tell it was not so. The Servant had a distint oreintal look about him. "My name is Raul Suarez" |

| He promptly brought his hands together, his right forming a fist and his left catching his right in front of the center of his chest, and bowed slightly; it was a traditional salute from his homeland. "I am Zhang Liao, Fledgling Dragon of Wei and one of the Five Elite Generals of Wei. My Servant class is Lancer," he announced. "I look forward to the glory we shall achieve, my Master." |

| So I was Right... He supposed he should be happy. And in some wierd way, Raul was actually proud of himself, something that didn't happen often. He had succeed in successfully summoning a Servant. And, whats more, it was one of the three Knight Classes, regarding as the Best. If he remembered correctly, The Lancer Class was considered the Most Agile Class. Raul was certain he could formulate was pretty good plans with this Servant. Thoigh he didn't know much about Chinese History, Lancer did look like a skilled fighter. Raul checked the back of his hand. It had started burning slight, ever since he responded to Lancer's question. It was the Command Seals being inscribed onto his hand, and he could see them now. Shaped like a bird of sort. These were proof that the contract had been made. Only one thing left to do... "We need to go register at the Church. Lancer, Astralize yourself" |

| "As you wish," Zhang Liao replied and astralized himself, disappearing from view. "Let us move and talk then, I will alert you along the way if anything requires your attention. What information do you have on the other Masters and Servants?" |

| "Not yet, I'm afraid' Raul replies, cleaning off the small knife and placing it next to the book. Throwing the cloth away, he takes a small plaster from a nearby First Aid Kit, covering the cut he had created. Even if it wasn't particularly deep, he didn't want to risk infection. Not with this weather. "Naturally, The other Masters are being very secretive. Then theres the fact that I only arrived here a few days ago, and most of my time was spent preparing for the ceremony. I haven't had a chance to properly investigate the town" |

| Zhang Liao stopped in his astralized tracks. "I see..." he said, somewhat deep in thought. We are at a disadvantage then... He smirked, even though he was in Spirit Form. I like it. He never was one to turn down a challenge if he had the choice. "Very well, it appears that I was too hasty. I will follow your lead." |

| "Good" It seemed Lady Luck was shining her blessing on Raul. Not only did his Servant looks strong, but he was polite. He didn't know what he would have done if he had drawn some arrogant bastard. Raul hated dealing with those types of people. "Let's go then. Tell me if sense anything on the way there" |

| "Of course," Zhang Liao replied and they headed off. Off to the Monastery |
