Just throwing this out there, I know it was obvious from the start who Mito would choose, and normally I'd agree because I hated Ran at first. However, as the story went on... Toma just pissed me off more and more. Break up with your girlfriend when you first feel you're separated not when you finally decide you like someone else. Ran just became so much more likeable. Ran and his friends were so refreshing, he might be a playboy but it's not like he was a manwhore. I just like Ran better. Any thoughts?

I can understand where you're coming from, but emotionally, he was broken up with her the moment she cheated on him. It just took him a while to realize it and force her to realize it too. And he's still way ahead of some guys in that he didn't actually start going out with someone new until after he officially broke up with his girlfriend.

As for Ran, he was in the middle of the jerk makeover that all a**hole male love interests undergo before taking their place in the love triangle (or relevant geometric shape), so I hate him for being a cliche more than for any other reason.
