I thought as a suggestion to this club there should be a links section up on the Front Page and/or in this thread with the links to any and all Mahjong websites.

Post any such websites you come across, and I'll add them to the foot of this post.

Osamuko uses that site often. A little bit too often. And loves it. However most of us on irc://irc.rizon.net/mahjong use http://tenhou.net. it's a little bit more foreigner friendly if I may say that.
It uses only Riichi mahjong rules, but 12 variants of it.
Begginers and people who do not understand Japanese (like myself) should read the english manual at http://arcturus.su/tenhou/

Okay. I have to admit, I don't play on Tenhou.net that much anymore.

I now play on Toupai Ou

Registering was easy and fast using Google translate and plain logic.

Pros are that it merges Tenhou.net's and Ron2's good points quite well.
Cons are that it needs more Japanese knowledge than Tenhou (what I lack of) and it has a Windows only client.

Ohh. And we tried to translate it with more and less effort on Arcturus.

Reach Mahjong - The only way to Play is a neat site with strategy, a forum, and guides.

This here is a blog on blogspot. I think it was not updated since they moved to the reachmahjong.com site above

Our very own Osamuko has a Mahjong blog too.

何切る掲示板 is a Japanese mahjong image board, with lots of WWYD(short for What Would You Discard), and spam. orz

Lastly I want to correct myself. Arcturus has a lot more than just an English guide to tenhou.net.

    Certainly HokeyKamen.
Mahjongtime has a great intro, and is recommended for all who want an English client.
But I would probably write a notice somewhere that this is not what people here saw in Akagi/Tetsuya/Saki.
Mahjong Time has a REALLY slow client too. :(

Also, I would place the tenhou documentation(arturus.su/tenhou) in the Misc. section(too). It grew rapidly since it was made. It contains a lot more than just an English tenhou guide, for example the hand scoring quiz or the English Mahjong imageboard.

May I suggest adding the guide at http://v3gas.navhost.com/mahjong/ to the Miscellaneous section?

Playing Japanese Mahjong is fun, never actually have fun like this. It's so sad I didn't found about this a bit earlier.
Only have been playing Mahjong for a couple of months, didn't do it much either but could be fun.

For now I am stick with offline Mahjong and www.ron2.jp

New(?) site found thanks to RM forums.

The site's name is emahjong.net, and the client is in English.

You can play 3 types of games there. Chinese classic, International, and Riichi.
Also you can play with one, two or three opponents.

I thought some people might be interested in it because the client is way better (at first sight) as the one Mahjong Time uses, is in English and is not browser-based.
It looks something like this: pic1. pic2

The client is written for Ms Windows and Mac.

I don't know but maybe Linux users can make it work with the help of Mahjong Logic, the developers.

Perhaps cause they made an update and this new version (1.6) doesn't work when you install it...
Try dl'in older client, install it and then update.
Here you have from my ftp 1.5version. here (it'll be available for few hours)
