It's over for Yuusha Kei, the January season is very competitive, especially in the action section, which is the genre Yuusha Kei belongs to. We don't yet know if other anime will premiere with a special episode 1 (60 minutes) like Yuusha Kei, so it still has a chance to stand out.

That said, one thing is certain, if Yuusha Kei had premiered in the October season, it would have been much more successful than it will be in January, assuming, of course, that it hadn't encountered production problems.
Ultimately, popularity means profit, so I hope Yuusha Kei surpasses the big names and becomes one of January's most popular anime.

possible if they can upload both dub and sub at the same time, a good majority of american anime watches won't pick up a show unless it's dubbed

also dont forget that the anime consumption in japan is vastly diferent from the western world and what they profit there is usually already enough for a decision (drop or keep going).

ive seen it happening quite alot in many seasons, packed with great titles and hidden gems keep poping up regardless.

idk if it will be the case, but lets have the show speak for itself

(also a keyfactor is what day of the week it releases, there have been seasons where the whole week was empty, full of mids and trash and all the good titles concentrated on the weekend, if it can avoid that then even easier to gain popularity)

Imagine choosing the worst option every time, I’ve tried dub countless times, starting with dub, rewatching with dub. The voices don’t fit, the emotion isn’t there, not to say subs can’t be trash, the va’s are great, it’s the subbers choice of words that can be cringe inducing, especially when you can tell they went out of their way, making a whole sentence from a character just saying another’s name, and not even having that name in the sentence. If they want to write their own shit, they should do so with their own work, trash inserting subbers should be shamed.

@Alex_the_reaper I know that, I just wanted to express my concern. And I also forgot to mention that the sheer volume of high-quality anime could hurt yuusha kei, as the demand for good animators will be higher, not to mention that the director's contacts are web animators who work primarily as freelancers.

By the way, I heard a rumor that the anime will premiere on December 31st.
