The film had an explosive weekend of over 24.5 million dollars and an overall international total of 34 million dollars (Could slightly vary cause I cant confirm the gross of a couple of countries). The film is beating the box office of Mugen train with record pace in these selected markets in which it has opened so far. It has yet to open in Korea, Philippines, India and other major Asian market. Its going to cross the expected 70 million dollars soon and could easily make double or even more the money Mugen train earned in these countries.

In Japan, the film has earned nearly 26 billion yen and its now the 4th highest grossing film in Japan at record speed. The total worldwide gross stands at over 209 million dollars. (Its sad that yen has become so much weaker. If the rate were same as Mugen train then this would have grossed over 280 million by now). 30 to 35 billion yen is pretty much happening in Japan alone while 40 billion is only possible with wild legs.

Its also having amazing presales throughout the world. In Korea, Brazil, Mexico and the US as well its pretty much clear that its going to outperform Mugen train by a big margin.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Yup! It’s incredible every day it does more and more compared to what Mugen train did by the same time! I can’t wait to see the numbers after the full worldwide release

Well, let's hope mainland China theaters will be drooling with this revenue and figure out a way to get it release in their theaters. A great opportunity for local distributors and theaters to capture the hype and earn money.

@Elvarth China can easily produce more than 100 million dollars for this movie. If Mugen train wasn't released there, its hard for this one as well but there is still hope.

@FZREMAKE Mugen Train was on the schedule to be released there; however, the incident from Monster Hunter ruined the chance. We cannot cry over the spilled milk. Just hope.

@AkeZZZ It already crossed the expected 70 million gross. We are looking at more than 100 million projection now.
