should i watch it?

MyAnimelist's rating for Chinese donghua is always such a disservice to the amazing quality of Chinese 3D animation!

Ignore those ratings and watch this awesome series.

S1 - 3 is old and pretty average, but S4 marks a great improvement in every single way. S5 - 7 is simply movie-quality animation. I'm just here for the action. I don't care about this series' twisted plot, but will be a bonus to those who love this kind of mental gymnastics. LOL

I found S1-S3 pretty funny and honestly, had me engaged (though I realize I have a rare opinion in this);I was actually fairly interested when I was watching it.
S4 is my favorite season; it's the only piece of media to actually make me cry like a little baby in, like, the last 10 years.
S5-S6 are very satisfying, especially 6, my second favorite season
The Yuan Tiangang side movie is great; I'm still trying to find more stuff like it to watch.
S7 has been really engaging so far as of writing (they have become the highlight of my week tbh).

Not only is the animation excellent in S5-S7, the music also gets very good.
Hope you watch it, it's been the only donghua I've actually started and fully watched all the way.
