5 Centimeters per Second
| A weird thing to start a topic with but: what is up with the character list for this movie? "Male Student" 1-11? "Collegue" 1-5? Somebody must have had a laugh here, the only voice actors listed for any of these are French ones. I think I might add "Train Station Announcer 7" to one of my fav characters if he and the others stand the test of time. |

| @poisson I know, right? I wouldn´t have noticed if all this craziness wasn´t already observable from the front page of this anime. "Male Student 10" and "Train Station Announcer 3" definitely animated me to take a closer look. @RGreatDanton 2) Makes sense, there´s probably not that big of a voice acting industry going on for anime in France compared to Japan. Not entirely sure what the rules here are for listing characters. If the listed French people did indeed speak for all of these "characters", then I suppose there´s formally nothing wrong here. But the word "character" is doing quite the heavy lifting for speaking roles that most likely just boil down to background noise (especially the various train announcers). This smells more like a credit list rather than a character list. And someone must have REALLY wanted his fellow countrymen to get proper credit. ^^ |
