| In the heart of London, in the middle of the afternoon, it's filled with the sound of people but not just any ordinary people. Everyone except one girl are all part of the supernatural world. Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, and Spirits all exist and have taken over the world from the humans through force. The human race is now just about completely wiped out and these creatures now can walk around freely without the worries of humans capturing them and using them as test subjects. Serenity had been introduced to this world every since she was born. With the ability to see spirits, whether there part of living things or ghost of the deceased, she grew up interacting with them. "Serenity you shouldn't be going out unless you have too. Any one of these creatures could find out you're human and kill you instantly." One of the spirits warned Serenity as she was walking out of her home near the center of London. "Relax. I go out all the time. Beside I have all of you guys to protect me anyways so i'm not worried." Serenity turned a corner and headed toward the market to get some food. "And as long as I don't cause any trouble." She walked down the street reaching an open outdoor market. Taking in a deep breath she could smell all the aromas of things around her. "Okay, I guess it's alright if you're out for a little while." The spirit followed her as she moved along weaving through the people in the market with her. |
| As Serenity pushed through the crowd she could see the aura of spirits in everything. Like being lost in a rainbow of colors she learned to use it to her advantage avoiding those who have darker auras. "Serenity what exactly are you looking for?" He asked as he continued to follow her. "I'm not sure yet. I'll know it when I see it." She said as she stopped by every cart looking at all of their items. She looked over at Eli for a second. "I'll be okay. I'm more than any ordinary human so don't worry so much." She turned around to find herself face to face with someone. "What a strange girl." The stranger said looking at Serenity in the face. "Who might I ask were you just talking to?" He asked her looking her over. With his bleak gray aura she became a little more cautious. "Why would you want to know?" Eli stood close by Serenity observing the man. The stranger moved closer to her and whispered in her ear, “You’re have such an interesting smell compared to all the others around here. Something makes you different and stand out. So I want to know who you were talking to here all by your lonesome.” Serenity didn’t move as he got closer she followed his movement with her eyes. “So You want to know more about me just because I smell good to you? Well unless you have a better reason i’m not tell you anything.” Serenity turned around and started walking in the other direction without looking back. Eli followed her as she walked off into the crowd of people. “You know he’s following you. He doesn’t seem to be happy with your response.” Serenity kept walking not stopping. “Well thats how vampires are, or at least I assume he was a vampire with his gray aura. Besides I have an herb that propels them if they try to cause harm to me.” Eli sighed as he kept turning around to look for the stranger following them. “He doesn’t seem to want to give up on getting you. We should head back before he catches up to us” Serenity rolled her eyes. “And show him where we stay so he can come and visit me any time he wants, Yea right. Why don’t we invite him in for tea while we’re at it.” Eli grabbed her shoulder stopping her for a moment. “Did you forget? Vampires can’t come in your home unless you invite them in. So we can just go home.” Serenity laughed. “Yea while he waits outside to the point where I have to leave to get something.” |
| Serenity started walking again when someone grabbed her wrist. She turned around to find her stranger staring right back at her. “You didn’t give me a chance to give you a better reason.” He flashed his fangs. “Since you didn’t want to take the easy way out we’ll have to do it the hard way.” Serenity tried to pull her wrist free but she couldn’t get him to let go. “I didn’t want another reason. So why don’t you let me go before you really regret what you’re doing.” She pulled her wrist again but he just tightened his grip to the point to where it started to hurt. “You’re a feisty one. But they always do taste a little better. So Miss Human, I believe I have the upper hand.” Eli floated around Serenity. “What are you waiting for? Use your stuff and get the hell out of here.” Serenity ignored Eli. “If that’s suppose to scare me, then i’m sorry to disappoint you. Now if you don’t mind your grip is starting to get a little too tight for my taste. Care to ease up a bit?” He chuckled a bit. “If I did as you pleased then it would be no fun at all. You know it’s been quite some time since i’ve had fresh human blood. How about a little drink? Do I scare you now?” He asked as she suddenly found herself in an empty alley with his fangs brushing up along the side of her neck. She was about to reply when she was flung out of his hands and on to the ground scraping her forearms as she tried to break her fall. She turned to find another vampire had pinned the one who was about to drink from her against the wall. “You know feeding on others around here is against the rules. Better run before they find out you attempted to break their rules again.” Serenity’s attacker fled, disappearing in the blink of an eye. The guy who had saved her on the other hand extended his hand helping her up. He sniffed the air for a moment. “You’re human? How are you still alive?” Serenity stood up and dusted herself off. “Yes I am, guess you can say I have a gift that has come in handy.” He gave her a perplexed look for a moment. “You better get home and clean off the blood before anyone else finds out you’re human. If they do, well you know, you’ll end up executed like all the others.” Serenity looked at her arms wiping them with a handkerchief while nodding. “What is your name?” He asked. “Serenity.” She replied even though when she looked up she found herself alone in the empty alley. She felt a slight breeze swish by her as she looked around. |
| “Why the hell are you still standing around for?” Eli yelled in her face. “Did you not just here that guy? Get your ass home now before who the hell knows finds out about you and ends up executing you out in the town square”. Serenity not listening as usual continued to look around. With no one around but Eli she walked back towards town. “HELLLOOO?!?!?” Eli yelled again. “Are you even listening to me? If you aren’t I’m disappearing right now then lets see who comes to save your sorry ass when someone comes to kill or eat you.” Serenity went on her way finding herself on the outskirts of town far from where she had originally been. “There speed is absolutely incredible.” She said not even caring what Eli was going on about. Getting angry with her Eli took his leave since she appeared not to hear a single word he had just said. She looked down on the cuts on her arms they had stopped bleeding but she knew many of the creatures would still be able to smell her out. “Doesn’t look like I’ll be going home anytime soon. Let’s see now…….What else is out here away from the center of town and supernatural creatures.” She walked out of the alley on to an open street with few people. She walked along the street blankly as she thought about what she could do till the cuts closed over. Not watching where she was going Serenity accidentally ran into a guy nearly triple her sizes. “I’m so sorry about that.” She apologized but he didn’t seem to happy about her running into him. He looked down at her and made a growling like sound. Short tempered, Growling and kind of smells like wet dog……… Shit...I just pissed off a werewolf. She began to back away slowly as his eyes followed her every movement. He stopped and sniffed the air then growled at her again but this time it wasn’t just like a little warning, it was vicious and a sign that he was ready to rip her to shreds. Serenity turned and began to run as she reached for the handgun on her belt and loaded a silver bullet into it. Feeling a sudden breeze she looked up in front of her and there stood a gigantic wolf snarling its teeth. Serenity held the gun up not afraid and pointed it at the wolf. He did nothing but howled once and in a matter of seconds Serenity was surround by several gigantic wolves. Damn, If I shoot one the rest of them eat me alive. Serenity turned in circles the gun still pointed straight in front of her the whole time. Where are spirits when you need them? The wolves began to enclose the space around her. The closer they came the more nervous she became. Someone? anyone? She hoped some type of miracle would happen to help her out of this sticky situation. |
