He starts off as an anti-hero, let's not discuss the ending here.

Suprised there's no mention of Hellsing yet.

Edit: Wait... no vampire anime? Wtf?

A quote from a review on Hellsing: Ultimate.

"Alucard is by far the most evil "hero" I have seen. He enjoys torturing his enemies and rarely kills them before completely stripping them of their dignity. In short, he's more of a villain than a hero due to his lack of morals. Do not expect a compassionate, honorable character. He fucks shit up and he enjoys doing it."

Black Cat
Madlax
Noir
Canaan

All of these the main characters are assassins/outlaws, it's hard to say whether they're really evil or not. But you might like them.

Technically very few people in Baccano! are considered "good guys" by society's standards.

Berserk - The amounts of fucks Guts gives about the sanctity of human life is so minimal you need a high tech government owned microscope to see it.

Hellsing: Ultimate - Alucard makes Guts look like fucking Vash the Stampede.

Desert Punk - Kanta isn't really all that "villainous," he's just a complete jerkass who values money and tits over everything and everyone

Heroes like Alucard suck.

I like the dark heroes that must do bad things to result in good things. Those are the true anti-heroes. Like Fate/Zero's Kiritsugu.

The Unlimited: Hyobu Kyousuke seems pretty solid right now and that's technically an anti-hero anime.
