An anime taking place in the interbellum?

Otherwise known as Interwar period, or between the wars.
Anyhow, It's a time in history that quite made me interested in it, so I was wondering if there were any anime about that time. I would preferably want it to take place in America, or Europe, but if there is no such thing than Japan would be fine as well. If there isn't any anime then manga is also fine.

Baccano! (1930s America)
Millenium Actress (1930s-1960s Japan)
Aoi Bungaku (compilation based on Japanese novels/shorts published between the 1910s and 1940s)
Porco Rosso (Interwar Italy)

+1 (As I just watched it! :) )

I can't remember if it's the last ep or maybe ep 14 (which was some sort of bonus type thing).....& that ep looks like it is taking place just on the verge of the Second Sino-Japanese war (which leads into the Pacific War/WWII). The rest of the show is set in period just before - with Japanese-Chinese relations. And there is this (possibly predictable) poignancy over the ending of the show that not that far away America will drop the bomb.

Show's quite interesting in regarding to the time period it's set it in (just because I didn't know much about it - found it interesting). They do the Manchurian/Mukuden Incident too.

http://myanimelist.net/anime/6114/Rainbow:_Nisha_Rokubou_no_Shichinin - Not inter-war, it's post-war. 1955 to be exact. But the war is still affecting the citizens greatly. You should watch this, it's great.
