Any advice on what site to download visual novels from? I'm mainly interested in katawa shoujo and little busters(the anime is great so far).

Not sure about downloading, but you can play a bunch of them online at http://asenheim.org .
If you go on vndb.org, and click the version of the game ur looking 4, u then get the option 2 go 2 the official site & download it.

I can name at least 10 safe sites to get VN and Eroge from. If you want Otome (Reverse Harem) styled games I can also give you a site that translates them but you have to sign up and get up to a minimum of 50 posts and request to join the Otome VIP section after meeting the minimum requirement.

I like moekyun.co its a paid site but is safe and you can get hentai games from over 10 years ago.
