The Title: Eureka Seven

Does it ever explain in the the anime series the origin of the title, Eureka Seven, and what the "Seven" refers to? In the movie it makes a clear reference to Eureka Seven, Eureka being the seventh of her kind. But I can't recall any instance in the actual T.V. series that explains what the" Seven" in Eureka Seven was supposed to mean. Unless it is just a weak reference to the Seven Swell.

I don't think it does in TV series, least not that specifically in the movie. I haven't picked it myself.

It might just mean the Swell, but I think I missed what the "Seventh" part means (7 secs? mins?).

I think in the original series Eureka 7 was a rocketship that brought back the original traces of the alien lifeform. It might be a reference to Sputnik 7, the old Russian spaceship.
