Quick Question about Amazon Delivery

Do they alter the expected delivery dates? I swore that the delivery estimate for one of my packages was Jan 6 to jan 13, then I feel like they changed it to Jan-6 to jan-16, and now it didn't arrive today and now I check and its Jan 6 - Jan 19. wtf...
