How to write your own haiku?

To do a basic haiku, just make a 3 line sentence with a 5,7,5 syllables. For example,

~Dark days are coming,
Signifying the starting,
The end of the world.~

Dark-days-are-co-ming = 5 syllables
Sig-ni-fy-ing-the-start-ing = 7 syllables
The-end-of-the-world = 5 syllables

Simple huh? So give it a try! It's pretty fun once you get the hang of it!
