| Episode 1 Another one of those shows in which the MC gets kicked out of his party, and it out to prove that they made a huge mistake in doing so. This time, it's the court magician Alec, who studied hard and became the top student at the academy. He is given an order by the king to accompany his ungrateful son on a quest. But Regulus is none too pleased that Alec is only good at support magic, so he not only kicks him out, but orders his title of court magician to be stripped. And while he had a message to deliver to the king, his former partymate simply rips it up ensuring it never reaches the king. So Alec is just a civilian, but he has a chance to make a name for himself when he comes across Yorha, a friend from the academy that he once formed a party with before becoming a court magician. So yeah, ever since the original show about living a quiet life in the countryside, these kinds of shows just keep on coming, and so far I fail to see any ounce of originality, but so far it has been mostly setup. I'll reserve judgment once the rest of the party joins, but if that rage-inducing moment when that message was ripped up is any indication, then I have a good idea of where this is going. |
| Most of these sort of shows start pretty middle of the road, but this was just plain bad. Maybe if I'd never seen one of these before I wouldn't be so down on it. This is not just paint by numbers, the picture after you fill in all the numbers is just stick figures. Even the name of the party is laughable, "Lasting Period." yikes |

| Wait, let me try to remember this one. Some of them are blending together. There was that blond jerk who keeps kicking people out of his teams in so many shows. He really gets around. It's another show that I haven't decided on yet. It meets my minimum standards, but I want to see more of the cast. |

| Episode 2 And with that, the party Lasting Period has been formed as Ornest and Krasia join Alec and Yorha to make a name for themselves. These four were best friends at the academy, and Alec thought that he would simply live his live as a court magician that pays so well that he wants to give his father a comfortable life in retirement. But of course, Regulus had other plans, and now that he's kicked out he's now going back to being an adventurer. Pretty lame once again as it continues to do things by the book without making much effort to differentiate itself from other shows of its kind. |
