With the prospect of the new year, I wanted to consider deciding on a few anime collectively we could watch and discuss.

Please make any suggestions. Although I'm welcome to any suggestion it may be prudent to exclude any shows that are 1. Too long. And 2. Too common.

It could be a show/movie you've seen already, or one that is entirely new to you.

I've been meaning to talk to someone about Takopi Original Sin, just 6 episodes. It's very rich in themes and conversation starters. That and Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction as my underrated current pick.

@bergars thank you Constable bergars for the suggestions, I can watch Takopi on the next week or two and give you my impression! As for Dead Demons I'll add it to the 2026 watch list!

Constable Bergars, I have watched both & consider both to be stand-out series in their respective years. Takopi’s Original Sin in particular does an excellent job in addressing some very complicated issues in a limited amount of time.

@Ohayotaku I absolutely agree, constable Ohayotaku. Takopi touched an incredible portrayal of children and their cycle of hatred which affects all around them. How the role of a parent is THE most important thing in their children's lives. We're patterns we learned, we're all that was passed down. Dead Dead Demons does another very important theme, which is just the effects of 9/11, the second world war, genocides, it's fantastic on every theme it touches. How personal wars are all wars. Everything stems from the one, and if given enough power, the whole world is at the mercy of one personal ideal from the individual. Great stuff.
