So, to discuss the Capsule Monsters Mini-arc.

An strange anime, sponsored by 4kids. A japanese version exists, but it was never released, so it can't be included as a separate entry.

The mini arc was OK, a refresing take on Yugi and friends. I dicovered it many years later after the end of the anime and was a pleasent surprise.

Despite the fan backlash, I liked it. It tries to bring back the "King of the games" premise of the manga and Season 0. It gets better in the later eposods. it was nice to see old vanilla monsters (some never brought to the TCG until now!!) and some backstory of the Millenium Ring.

Also more Solomon. It needed Mokuba and a more consistent plot.

lol i liked it.
i did miss my bad boy kaiba but it was a nice unity of yugi and the original team, plus finally a different game with different stakes.
i think it freshened things up.
plus yugi’s magical girl transformations were just the BEST! 🤩
oops 🙊 i mean, magical boy.
