I've rewatched this for more than 20x always wondering why this wasn't being continued. I just love stories like these. I'm glad their bringing it back!
Although i'm really really really sad that the MC might be replaced, still this was some quality work. Just didn't get aired on the right year HAHAHA

| @ElsaZone Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I've forgotten how many times I've re-watched this entire series too. I had 0% expectation we'd get more Gate. But to clarify "Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri Part 2" was part 2 of season 1 with the main character Itami Youji and the new anime "Gate Season 2: Jieitai Kanoumi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri" is about new characters (Captain Gorou Edajima & Hajime Tokushima) ? |

 The original GATE felt like a lifetime ago. It almost feels like a fever dream thinking about it when it aired a decade ago. I really enjoyed the first one, so I'll tune in to see what its sequel is like. |
