It looks like Toei will be releasing the English dubs of Digimon, Precure, and Magical DoReMi on June 28. While Digimon is easy to see the dub, as it's available on Hulu and Blu-ray, Precure and DoReMi are interesting. These dubs haven't been seen in years. I know a lot of people won't care about the dubs of an anime. Still, this is pretty neat.

What do you guys think?

I'm just happy Toei is even bothering to bring them to Western audiences. It's always DBZ, One Piece and Sailor Moon. It's nice to see them experimenting with these two shows. I hope they can end up on PlutoTV or Tubi someday.

The lineup is interesting. I’d rather this open up the door for more Precure seasons to become available. The sub version is available on most platforms. I could go either way on the dub.

I think Oja Majo Doremi (not calling it by the other name) needs to be given a new English dub; one that's actually truer to the Japanese versio. (where "Doremi" is the name of the character the title refers to; none of that "Solfege" pun stupidity). Oh, and while I'm at it, Smile and Doki Doki Pretty Cure need new dubs as well.

In any case, keep in mind that Toei is only going to be livestreaming previously existing stuff. I implore everyone to ignore the macekred Doremi dub and focus on Pretty Cure, whose dub is going to be seen in the U.S. for the very first time. The theme song is different, and yes, Nagisa and Honoko were renamed Natalie and Holly, but the dub is otherwise the exact same show seen in Japan, just dubbed in English. I can't comment on Digimon (which is the Saban/Fox network dub, despite Toei calling it "Digimon Adventure"), but I ask that everyone show Toei that the Pretty Cure dub is what people really want from a dub (sort of).

@Hi_D Agreed. 4Kids pretty much butchered the show but it's okay in it's own way, but the original is leagues better. But it was thanks to 4kids I found the show back in the day. It's one of my all time favorite anime now. I would love a new english dub for it, but it probably won't ever happen...

As they say, "never say never". Just keep in mind that a new dub doesn't need to be "colorful" in order to get the fans interested.

@Hi_D Oh don't get me wrong, I won't mind if it doesn't get a new dub. Just Doremi being liscensed at all would be amazing. <3 I want to own the series on bluray so so so badly! I love the Japanese VAs!
