The novel begins with Xylo Forbartz and Dotta Luzulas talking in front of a bonfire. This scene is in PV 1./spoiler
but there is the first person scene of Dotta running from a frog plague while holding the bag of drinks he stole from the order of knights in pv 1 but this scene does not exist in the novel/spoiler
So I think the anime starts with Dotta running away from the plague and then being saved by Xylo."After that the scene should continue from the beginning of the novel"

I think the novel currently has 7 volumes but only 4 translated into English

@SalPed The novel uses many clichés and themes reused from other works, for example "suicide squad", but I liked how the novel gets straight to the point and how the fights are described (fights that could be absurdly better in the anime)

@Desmascarado I think the beginning of the anime will be one of the 2, the first would be Dotta running away after she just stole something in this case the coffin with the drinks or the two talking for the first 2-3 minutes, then the attention would have gone to saving the soldiers, however I prefer to think it will be the first option because in the 2 trailers the main focus was the goddess and the situation in which the respective world and the characters are.
personally I just like the setting of the anime and the characters that have a nice design
the idea of fighting monsters regardless of whether you die in battle or not, I found it interesting and besides Suicide Squad I can say that it resembles Grimgar even more because the characters in Grimgar were transported to that world in order to fight.
