So they announced season 3 when Season 2 ended over a year ago and ever since then there has been no communication about production or a release date that I can find. And they've broken their trend of a new season every 14 months so now its up in the air as to when this is actually coming out.

i am deeply thirsty for more of this and I've been googling for new every week and I am starved for more content. unless im just dumb and am googling the wrong thing, theres no news and im sad

in my opinion the story was finished in the end of S2, so it's not necessary to have S3, but I love this anime.

@ErenYeager1774 I mean, the story wasn't finished, theres still a lot to be adapted. It was a nice ending but the story is nowhere near done

@ErenYeager1774 i see. Well, there is a lot of great story to tell, and from the ending of s2 there's obviously a lot of story and it leaves a lot of questions. What happened to the nokkers? How does the population treat Fushi and his vines? What about the man in black, what happens with him, what are his motives? It's a nice place to end a season but there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

The way the story is after season 2 is really good imo. And like I said, Season 3 was already announced, it is in production and it is coming. But just no idea when.

It already fell off in season 2 and season 3 is somehow even worse.

That's true. I'm curious when will it finally be released.

@Cielord you think so? I thought season 2 was great, not as good as season 1 but good. I think season 3 is the best so far with the one after that being kind of crazy but probably season 4 will be the best season of the show.

@KariNull Fushi being able to reincarnate people ruins the whole series and everything that comes next is just dragging the series. Probably the worst fall off i saw a series have.

@Cielord I love the dynamic because of how they operate in later years. A group of immortals that live forever, and so far in the manga its just the original crew that is a part of the immortal team. I think the part of Fushi's life where he had to go through the hardships of losing people and learning the lessons that come from grief were a necessary stepping stone put there in order to elevate Fushi's character, but eventually there is not much you can do with that. It's an intricate relationship between the group and the way the world perceives them in the following years after season 2 and 3, the dynamic is very original and honestly the story gets much better after he finds out he can do that.

@KariNull Yea, don't understand how you find any of this enjoyable. Good for you tho.

season three abt to be so ass if it gets adapted. it had crazy potential but idfk what the author is doing, and the arc after season three prob won't even get adapted cause it's so bad.

It’s confirmed, that’s enough for me. Plenty of other good shows come out each season so it’s no difficult matter to find something else to watch

There's nothing much to relate from if characters have the luxury of immortality. Having all your friends come back in a future that's pretty much slice of life with very little to no stakes is a boring narrative. If the selling point of the following season(s) is just basically the dynamics of chemistry between characters, then that gets old really fast.

Frieren, for example, exemplifies the lesson of appreciating connections with other people that, if you don't value them, may leave you a lifetime of regret once it's gone.

The ending for Fushi was perfect
in season 2, since he accomplished securing the entire planet and everyone in the present will now be under his protection. He finally gets to live in peace, where he no longer has to fight.

"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

Sure, I'd agree if this was the rest of the story entirely xd but its not, sure there are slice of life aspects but the season kicks in shortly after it starts. It's reminiscent of Vinland season 2 where we trade a bit of action for a more insightful and personal character growth, but it still has a lot of action.

This is literally the point of season 3 lol

I'm far enough removed from what a boring pile of dog puke most of season 2 was that I'm almost interested in seeing what this season will be like since everyone agrees that its straight up shit. It will probably be technically competent enough to not actually be that funny to watch (or talk about since there will be insane weirdos to defend it, of course) but the idea of how bad this show can/will get is somewhat tantalizing.
