Episode 1

Now that Nasa and Tsukasa are a married couple, the next order of business is a wedding.  Or at least something that's in the back of their minds realizing just how much it costs to have this once-in-a-lifetime (assuming that the relationship doesn't end in a divorce) event.  That lowball estimate that Nasa provided doesn't even cover the cost of the wedding dress, going to show that Nasa has been living under a rock when it comes to matters like these.  And while that's happening, Chitose is training hard with her maids.  Very nice way to get back into this show as those two have quite a lot of decisions to make moving forward knowing that there's a lot that goes into getting married and they don't have the money to have anything extravagant.

The second season is here and what a way to start the season then with Nasa wanting to have a wedding to see Tsukasa wear a wedding dress. However after realizing how much a wedding costs, it might take some time to get the cash if he wants to go through with it.

Now when it comes to things, I didn't like it had to be the new Op as it just spoils too much. Id prefer if they recycled the old opening for this season and leave everything to come as a mystery.

I prefer season 1 OP to the new one. Something felt off about this episode and I can't, for the life of me, figure out what. At least they're sleeping in the futon together.

Despite the fact that Crunchyroll says the complete series is available for Oceania, none of the episodes are available for me.
Not the first season, or the special episode and the first episode of the second season is also not available.
So there must be a huge error on their side that prevents New Zealanders and Australians from watching the series despite the fact it is supposed to be available for us.

Episode 2

Here's an episode focused on a couple of people in Nasa's life.  First, there's Yanagi-sensei, who was Nasa's homeroom teacher in junior high, and it's only thanks to him being a wiz that the class didn't look as bad as a whole than it actually was.  Then the next day, Ginga drops by as he's Nasa's cousin and while he comes across as a yakuza agent, he's actually a high school student.  He comes in having taken in a cat and doesn't exactly know how to deal with it.  But first thing is to bring it to a vet, and after getting treated and what not, Tsukasa takes it home and names it Toast as that white thing on his back looks just like butter on toast.  Quite an oddball way to introduce the new characters, but of course Kenjiro Hata is known for doing these kinds of things.

Epsiode 3

It’s off to the amusement park as Tsukasa and Nasa scored some “free” tickets. But it turned out that this was all just a scheme as by seeing Yanagi-sensei there with fellow teacher Taniguchi-sensei, it wasn’t just going to be a date between newlyweds. Not to mention, Chitose and her maids were also there. It got off to an ominous start with the rain, but it cleared up and ended with a nice fireworks show. Pretty crazy that trip was, and I wouldn’t expect any less.

Episode 4

Exams are coming up for Aya, and she's panicking, and seeing that Nasa opted not to go to high school that he's not exactly the best person to turn to for tutoring.  But seeing that Aya has bombed all her quizzes that she's going to need somebody better than Nasa.  Then Tsukasa gives her husband a massage.  And then there's the question of how many times Nasa and Tsukasa kissed as they haven't really ben puckering up all that much.  And then a trip to the supermarket ends up with the two catching a glimpse of Yanagi kissing Taniguchi.  While they are a married couple, being asked to kiss isn't something they are ready to do without any issues.

These two have to get halfway drunk just to make out in the privacy of their own home. So I doubt they've done the nasty.

Episode 5

Time for a relaxing hot springs trip, and while they have been living at the bath house, there's just nothing like going out to the countryside to soak in natural hot springs water.  And there, they just so happen to run into Chitose's grandmother, who was the witness to the marriage.  While that's happening, the girls back at the bath house are doing some soaking themselves, although doing so wearing swimsuits.  With the glitzy place and the encounter with somebody who knows about the couple, things are not quite as relaxing as they should.

I just noticed that the second-to-last scene in the OP she's not wearing that purple thing on the back of her head. I was beginning to wonder if she had an extra mouth under there or something.

Episode 6

And Tsukasa and Nasa are really enjoying their hot springs trip as they go around Kusatsu, and then get into the water whenever they get the chance to do so.  Then they get in together, but things don't exactly go as planned as Nasa ended up passing out from that long soak.  But after all that, they got in more soak, then did some last-minute shopping before returning.  Not bad for a honeymoon, which this time is actually a honeymoon unlike with their quick visit to Kyoto.

Episode 7

Given climate change that expecting summers to be cooler is just wishful thinking.  But to cope with the blazing heat, it's a good thing that Nasa is a handyman as all he needed to do is buy an AC unit, borrow some tools from his former classmate Nakiri, and in no time the bathhouse is nice and cool.  Next order of business is finding the right temperature, and the way Tsukasa reacts is quite telling.  In the end, 26.5C sounds about right.  And then another acquaintance from middle school drops by as Kyuuma is pretty hyperactive there.  Nakiri sees this as an expanding world, and it's nice to see that Nasa is learning more and more seeing that he's somebody who ended up ditching high school altogether even though he's a genius.

Episode 8

Seeing that Tsukasa and Nasa got in the hot springs together that they are now doing it in the bathhouse.  Or at least they try to that leads to some awkward moments, as well as Nasa doing stuff found in shoujo manga.  So they end up sitting inside the sauna together.  Ginga just so happens to be there as well, but not at the sauna the same time Tsukasa and Nasa are in it.  These two are just getting even more and more close since the hot springs outing.

How does this season compare to season 1?
Crunchyroll is still taking it's time fixing the error for New Zealand so I still haven't watched any of it.

IMO it's just more of the same....if not a little more boring because we aren't getting any more background on Tsukasa.

It's still them both blushing about kissing or possibly seeing each other naked

A couple new characters have been introduced that I think are fun, but they haven't been around a lot. I'm still enjoying it, but things have only progressed between them at a very leisurely pace. Very, leisurely.

This is why I gave up on season 2. It looked like it was just going to spin its wheels with the status quo.

Will temper my expectations when and if the problem is finally fixed.

Didn't we already gather that it was going to be a snail paced romance from our original discussions for S1 when we were still on the CR forums?
At least it still sounds wholesome.

Yeah, I was just trying to say there has been some progression, even if it's been slow.

Episode 9

Nasa is really out of shape, so he goes out and does some exercising.  Of course, he struggles with it, and Tsukasa is there to help him out seeing that she has quite a lot of free time on her hands to do physical activity.  So they decide to head to the great outdoors and go camping.  Fun times to be had there, and while Nasa is a busy guy, this is something he needs to do.

Episode 10

And now, it's time to go camping, and thanks to the word being spread, quite a number of people are going on this trip that includes Chitose, Ginga, Kyuuma, and Tokiko.  After a grueling walk, they rest up and Tsukasa and Nasa have quite the deep chat there by the river.  And pretty much, it's all about the gratitude that has been a long time coming.

Episode 11

So, this camping trip ends up being a surprise wedding reception that Tokiko had secretly planned.  No wonder why so many people came to this camping trip as such outings are usually just a small group that's about half the size of the number of people who ended up on this trip.  Seeing that a normal wedding is pretty much never going to happen given the amount of money and preparation needed, at the very least they could have a reception with some great scenery.  And that's exactly what happens here.  Quite a nice way to finally have an event to celebrate their engagement.  One more episode left to go, but there's an ONA series coming this summer that will explain Tsukasa's high school days.  It figures to be a transition into that as Nasa is set to become a high school teacher for the ONA series even though Nasa himself never attended high school.

Episode 12 (Finale)

This season ends with the new apartment just about ready for those two to move in after returning from their surprise wedding reception in the woods.  And then Tokiko collapses which has those two rushing over to the hospital, but there was nothing to worry about as all she needed was some rest and she's back on her feet.  Chitose was freaking out, but it wasn't as bad as it looked.  And then those two get close once again.  Wasn't expecting there to be much of an ending knowing that a special is coming up, and that's exactly the case here.  Anyway, this season was a bit of a letdown after an amazing first season, but I look forward to seeing more of this.

Final Thoughts

This season felt more like an extended OVA series as there was just not a lot of plot progression and all that other stuff that made the first season great.  While there is some progression, this season beats around the bush too much.  In any case, this show continues to tap into what works with great humor and heart-warming stuff, as well as integrating oddball characters into the show.  While I understand how Kenjiro Hata operates, this should have had a better story than what this season ended up getting.

The juicy parts of Tonikawa is the arc that covers Tsukasa's mysterious past. Not sure if WB Japan is going to produce more seasons after the OVA episodes in Summer.

High School Days Episode 1

And Nasa goes to school, sort of. He's being brought on to help improve the lackluster computer skills at an all-girls school. Yanagi was initially called in to be a volunteer teacher there to teach programming, but is struggling quite mightily as she has nowhere near the expertise needed that Nasa has. So she turns to Nasa, who she knows is a wiz at computers and even though he never went to high school, he still has his knowledge of computer programming that is quite handy. And just like that, Nasa has become quite popular and many of those girls would love to marry Nasa if it weren't for the fact that he already is. I'm hoping that this tenure will develop into something greater seeing that Nasa had a much more glorious career ahead of him that he opted not to pursue after the accident.

Crunchyroll called them Special Episodes.
Whether or not they are OVAs or just little tidbits of extra material I still have to wait for the entire series to be available on bootleg websites before I can watch the series.

This is a four-episode special with episodes released two weeks apart. The next episode is coming July 26, episode 3 is coming August 9, and episode 4 is coming August 23. This show has quite a number of special episode as there are two seasons, SNS and Uniform that were released after the first season, and High School Days that's airing right now. While they could be considered to be ONAs since there are no plans to give these episodes a standard broadcast, they are airing on AT-X, so special would be the best way to describe it.

High School Days Episode 2

And now, an episode focused on one of Nasa's students, Haru.  She's into ramen and will go anywhere and everywhere to not only taste ramen, but analyze them in detail.  It just so happens that she was dining at the same place Tsukasa and Nasa are having a ramen date at.  That led to some pretty awkward interactions there seeing that Haru does this in secret.  And then he has the girls take an exam with handwritten code, all while Tsukasa puts on her old high school uniform.  Lastly, Nasa works quite hard to dig a hole in the backyard and fill it up with water to create a pond.  And then some of Nasa's students end up coming to the bathhouse to meet Tsukasa.  Those girls sure do love Nasa that they want him to pursue a career as a teacher even though Nasa never went to high school.

And to finish off this short series:

High School Days Episode 3

Shirogane does the wall-slam on Nasa to get his attention, and she sent her feelings to the wrong person.  She's well aware that Nasa is already married, so it makes things easier to clear the air.  And she's also asking for advice, though he's not exactly the best person to ask for that.  As it turns out, the one Shirogane is in love with is none other than Ginga.  That whole confession was quite awkward seeing that it happened after a thug came by and Ginga needed to lay the smack down on him.  That scene where there were a bazillion Tsukasa clones there is pretty hilarious.  This goes to show that there's just no right answer as to how to confess and it certainly won't be obtained by asking Nasa about it.

High School Days Episode 4

And to end this series, Nasa dreams about meeting Tsukasa in the same fashion as meeting Kaguya in the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.  And as for the girl named Kaguya, she's quite an oddball there as she wears a mask and she's a total slob.  Then Tsukasa and Nasa go dating and all that other stuff, all while Nasa continues to reflect on how his like kind of mirrors that in the legend.

So with that, this special series has wrapped up and it was a nice way to see Nasa actually doing something that takes advantage of his geniusness that he ditched when he opted to skip high school altogether when he had his sights set on attending a prestigious school for a science wiz like him.  There's no closure, unsurprisingly seeing that this show didn't have any by the time the series ended.
