 Plot Summary Beast Tamer Rein, who uses animals, was a member of the hero's party. However, since he couldn't do anything else, he wasn't able to keep up in battle. umu One more to go if the ED is any indication. Looks like a Kitsune. Kanade and Tania kind of remind me of Rem and Shera from How Not to Summon a Demon Lord...except in this case, the genki air-headed character is the cat girl and the mildly tsundere character is the sexy voluptuous one. I would have preferred they just stay with those 2 and not add the loli Fairies...and the fox kind of looks loli like in the ED. |

Harems typically don't know when to stop and many shows ruin a good initial character dynamic by insisting on being harems. -.- The first two work because cat girl has the mind of an 8 year old and nothing untowards crosses her mind. While dragon girl is into him. The fairies seem superfluous and I expect fox girl to be even worse. |

One of the flashbacks showed an adventurer go in and say, "I want the best sword you can make" Gantz purposefully did not give him the best sword he could make...so that's fraud. Maybe if Gantz said "no, I won't sell it to you", but he didn't. He accepted the job and then purposefully did not honor the contract he entered into. It would be like me going to a car dealer and saying "I want the best car on your lot" and they sell me a known lemon when they have much better cars. That's fraud. IMO. If the guild and town refused to do anything about Gantz and his fraudulent business, the adventurers trying to run him out of business were doing others a service. |

| I expect the Hero to lose his title since he couldn't be unarsed enough to help the towns people. That and he aided the demon. He might have been forgiven for the latter, but not the former. |

| That felt more like an OVA than an in-season episode. With all the shows that had 13 episodes, I wonder if the Fall season being a bit longer just allowed shows to be longer than needed. I figured the "hero" would confront him one last time. I guess it's a 6-6.5/10 type show...it was certainly better than "Farming Skills" |

| So now Rein's harem is complete, and he has achieved "absurdly overpowered" status. Nothing can stand in his way. Too bad he's not really motivated to do anything useful. I give it a 6/10. As wish fulfillment fantasies go, it was pretty average. |

| Yeah, the ghost maid - Tina Holy - was an odd addition, and even the rest of the girls questioned Rein's "phantom taming lesson" story, humorously, almost as a wink to the audience. But I was happy to hear M・A・O in another bit part in her resume. She was here & there as usual this year, from this maid to Anima, of course Shion, Joy, and even that guy changed to a girl in an isekai thing at the beginning of the year. -Always fun to see (hear) where these gals will wind up next, some harem show, or a little boys voice that you can almost recognize. And maids, always maids in Anime... |
