Which first, Anime or manga?

I heard that later on the soul eater anime does it’s own thing and differs from the manga. I was gonna experience both but I’m not entirely sure which I should experience first, the anime or manga? I prefer the anime medium but I also love reading Manga

i would go for the anime first, to see if you like the style overall. the animation and atmosphere are great!
Soul Eater is one of my faves, but the manga has a bit of a rough start imo... the art is a bit wonky in the first few volumes, so it's not very representative i think
But if you enjoy the anime (especially the part that follows the manga) then you MUST read the manga! it's soo good really

i would watch the anime till it becomes anime canon then move on and continue the manga from there

You can watch the anime up until episode 38 and then pick up the manga at chapter 32, iirc there’s some overlap because that’s when the anime starts to deviate

Personally I watched the anime first. However I think the order doesn't matter much. The anime ends like 50% through the manga. The anime is very incomplete with its own rushed ending. So honestly its your choice with whatever version you start with. I think most people start with the anime tho.

anime ending is boring, manga ending is much better. so watch anime till EP 38 and then pick up the manga

Alright thanks I guess I’ll start with the anime first then when it deviates I’ll switch to the Manga

watch anime first and finish it (if you want to) then read the manga
