| Nope. This is a remake of the ultra violent OVAs. The OG anime series is a kids show and it's pretty dull tbh. I prefer the OVAs to this. But this isn't bad, it's just very different in style to Go Nagai's work. |

| I haven't read the manga and didn't watch any of the previous adaptations but found Devilman crybaby to be a great watch. So imo you can just watch it without having to watch the previous shows and ovas |

| Nope, devilman: crybaby is different from the other devilman series and movies, but if you want, you can watch them so that you'll know about the demon akira more. But basically devilman is like the new adaptation of the old devilman series with some new twists! |
