I guess Konosuba was just a lot of fun for me, while it was mocking the classic standard Isekai. The comedy was so on point because the cast was just that flawed and they had a great dynamic.
If you dont like the jokes youll call it overrated Ig.
(I wont even start discussing NGE :)
An Anime i chose for this topic is charlotte. Its not the most "hype" Anime that i dislike but I almost hate charlotte at this point. Story and characters are a joke ( dont even talk to me about the ending) etc...

I've seen 84 episodes and I can say it's one of the worst things I've ever seen.

I've seen 84 episodes and I can say it's one of the worst things I've ever seen.

it's not called being a fanboy lol it's stating facts , you and him haven't seen one of the best arcs in anime which HxH has so like you just can't say it's overrated without seeing it , and he atleast only said it's overrated but u say it's one of the worst lmao , maybe it's just not for u , but my point stands don't judge somthing to be overrated when you haven't seen the best of it

Okay, so I'm not sure if they're the "most overrated" shows, but I was very disapointed with Your Name & Anohana.
Your Name was a boring story with bland characters (imo). I guess I should give Anohana more credit for actually being good, but i kinda really disliked the cast of the show.

Naruto (Self explanatory). Anohana (the anime is aimed at being a tear jerker, not a layered work). Tokyo Revengers (the animation is pretty underwhelming). Kuroko no Basket (my Slam Dunk heart doesn't like it). And I'm gonna get axed for this, but Death Note is a little overrated in my opinion (it's a great anime, but last arc is a little out of pace, if that makes sense? It's maybe 10% overhyped)

I think what sky_dragon_ means is that HXH is not an episodic series like other Shounen adventure-battle animes, even though it might appear that way. Every arc in HxH is part of a bigger, cohesive arc, and all of it culminates into the Chimera Ant arc, especially the last 20 episodes of the arc. I can understand that before getting into it, HxH can seem like a run of the mill Shounen series with very little to justify its hype. But what Togashi does is that when you get to the climax of the series, everything starts to make a grand picture in your head, you realise how many clues and easter eggs were there. HxH needs a little patience, but the Chimera Ant arc really is the greatest arc in recent Shounen anime history, and HxH isn't even my favourite Shounen anime.

I personally believe that Demon Slayer is overrated. I am not saying the Demon Slayer is a bad anime, in fact, I really enjoyed watching it. But, one of the reasons that Demon Slayer got so much hype was because of Tanjiro's sister, Nezuko, who is undoubtedly the most adorable character in the show. Again, this does not mean that Demon Slayer is a bad anime, I just believe that it is overhyped.
