Hana x Aramaki

Okay so, I understand after completing the manga why Hana meant so much to Aramaki. She was a new person to try and protect until he could sacrifice himself for her sake. Like Fubuki and Mastsuri did for him. He wanted to be useful too. Cool. But why did Hana feel so drawn to him? She already had Arashi to go into hell and high water for, and she was Lowkey jealous and irked over Ayu being by Aramakis side? It was never really shown that Aramaki felt that way towards Hana except the one time he was staring at her for awhile and even then he later corrected It and stated he didn’t see her in the way (one of the other characters said that to Arashi too when they first met again in the ant tunnels). So I just wish that was a bit more clear because Hana felt like she was just using Aramaki in that time she was almost raped and wanted comfort, but I still feel like It wasn’t totally resolved once Ayu came into the picture. Admiration and respect, okay, but I felt like It wasn’t fleshed out enough for me to chalk It up to that.

Well, I didn't wanna tell ya this but you gotta blame the author for Hana's development.

Romance part is actually one of my favorite part of this manga, because it's feel more real than most manga/anime.
Why Hana had some infatuation to Aramaki when she also already had Arashi ? It's not a strange thing for someone to love more than one person. It's clear that Hana had some degree infatuation to Aramaki (and a lesser degree to Haru) even when she had Arashi and loved him too.
Aramaki is a cool guy (even without mentioning that he was a former baseball star, and Hana was his fan), it's not that strange for one or two girls has crush on him.

Also there is another thing I want to argue. I believe that their feeling are not entirely one-sided. Beside of his warped self sacrifice feeling, I believe that Aramaki also had a (little) romantic feeling for Hana. When he wanted to save Hana in underground river, he said (in monologues) that he held himself back because Hana had a boyfriend, and he wanted to save Hana and hugged her (not sacrificing himself to save Hana).

"The Slave is the have-not, the oppressed one with nothing to spare.
But because the Slave is in that despairing situation, having nothing, it can kill the Emperor !"
