Considering how fucked up was the world in which Ainz was living before the beginning of the series, I just hope that after some 30 volumes the author will just suddenly stop writing the series without giving it a proper end and an explanation about the reason why Ainz was sent to the new world. The lack of an ending is better than a bad one, since the latter would just ruin the memories that I have of the series.
But yeah, Platinum dragon lord would be a much better final antagonist than another player, supposing that the author is good enough to give the series a proper ending without explaining why Ainz was sent to the other dimension and without showing any other player besides Ainz.

I actually would not one that. The creator will have to explain why Aiz and players from Ygrassdil is sent to new world. Why would even want lack ending that a plothole itself and shit way for the series to end.

In the end it they would probably all form an alliance against Nazarick and get completely fucked up by the time they reach the second floor.

Making a connection between the dimensions and making other players appear in the story would cheapen the characters like the floor guardians, for example.

Not good enough reason seriously It would be huge plothole If creators doesn t example the Reason why Ainz is sent to new world and players appearing that depends on Maruyama If he wants too or not.

But skipping the part why Ainz is even sent to new world is huge plothole.

I think the Final Antagonist would either be:

A World Enemy (Player or NPC): An entity that far surpassed Level 100 players, capable of fighting against thirty level 100 players simultaneously and requires 2 guilds of top players to beat.

OR

A player(s) with a shitload of World Items: Could be a single player or a group of players that somehow opposes Nazarick for whatever reason or tricked by the new world inhabitants to attack Nazarick and use their world items. If their world items are from the '20', then Nazarick is seriously in deep trouble.
