Manga with a good plot but without romance?

In manga, I love the development of a strong friendship and the trust and bond that comes with it. I rather not have romance be a major part of the plot though lol.

Can you guys recommend me some manga with minimal to no romance?

I'm looking for a manga that doesn't give the feeling like the author is winging the plot. It should be cleverly written and can't be repetitive like monster grinding to level up or competing in a sport over and over.

Basically, any genres is good for me that doesn't hyper-focus on romance. It can be mystery, horror, psychological, or some comedy, slice of life type of manga. I don't mind.

However, I abolutely loathe ecchi, hentai, incest, harem, or lolicon themes way more than romance.

Vampire Juujikai - I just love the storyline. It has a bit of romance but it doesn't overtake the plot actually it helps.
Cat Street - great plot, again a bit of romance but not the focus.
Yuukoku no Moriarty - something I am reading now...a twist on Sherlock Holmes
Bloody Monday - I've read it after watching the live tv series and I really liked this one. Interesting story

I guess you have already read Death Note. I have the collection at home :) one of my favs

Dorohedoro is my recommendation. Unique art style, could probably say the same about the story. Only downside is that it's unfinished and new chapters come out at a Berserk-esque rate.
