Finding the volume notes

Hello guys, this is my first thread. I am a fan of Akamatsu-sensei's work; he has a breadth of experience and understanding of manga that makes his storytelling interesting, and his evolution from starring an everyman to a flawed anti-hero lends depth to his characterization. However, I am also interested in the amount of research he has put into the set-up of his universe. I recall being impressed reading them long ago in the volume extras, back when Red Hawks were still active. They have been disbanded now as far as I am aware, and I'm having a hard time looking for the complete volume notes again. Does anyone have an idea how I might find them? I would very much appreciate the help.
I'm particularly looking for a piece that lingers in my mind regarding the affinities of magic and cardinal directions.
